Well i use Maybelline's pure makeup. works great fopr any skin type.

the pure foundation is 50% wtaerbased and oil free. wont clog pores. and it wont cause breakouts. has long lasting coverage. has vitE, alow, chamomile to soothe skin. its sooo skin friendly. i LOVE this product. my classmates and shcoolmates have commented me and siad i look blooming. :) its a gel/liquid foundation by the way.

after you apply the foundation, you can use the pure concealer to cover those scars or whatever. but the foundation can give good coverage already. but to be sure about the coverage, use the concealer also.

after concealing, touch up with the pure powder. that also includes aloe, chamomile, and vitE to soothe skin. just pat lightly onto your face. whenever you need to retouch, just use the powder. no need to apply foundation again and again. i love maybelline's puremakeup!!!!

I have absolutly horrible combination skin with a mind of its own. I tried Clinique's Soft Finish make-up, and it works great. Oil-free, but moisturizing, so it fits any skin type.
They are all good. Cant decide between Clarins and Clinique?

Choose Clarins. im using that right now.

Good question, I have notice that revlon colorstay makeup works great and so does cover girl clean make up..

If you have young skin with few wrinkles, try Lancome Teinte Idol Ultra. It is gorgeous! It has a flawless matte finish that looks absolutely perfect after 10 hours of wear...but it is not good for older ladies. I like Elizabeth Arden concealer with the foam tip applicator. It covers well, but doesnt look cakey...however, it is being discontinued so check it out soon. Lancome has 3 different concealers which all cover well, but they are a little dry for my taste, though you may love them since you have oily skin.
ther are agedefying makeup I think l'oreal makes it as the colour is surrounded by some kind of technology and prevent colour from running in your creases leaving smudged effects where your creases are and try using loose powder to set your look.
The best foundation for oily skin is Everyday Minerals Intensive. Try everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. Great selection of olive and yellow undertones too-
OMG you've got to try Arbonne's mineral makeup. It's a powder you brush on and it covers EVERYTHING without looking ';cakey';. Check it out at my website. Oh and I'm a licensed cosmetologist and make-up artist. I have tried everything and fell in love with all of Arbonne's stuff. That's why I sell it. Now I get it cheap.
Dior had the best foundations I've seen. They also have the best range of olive tones as well.

What is the best kind of face makeup[foundations, powders, con鈥?for less money?

I am in high school and I don't have a job [and I want one but my mom says I can only do something like an internship or volunteering that is going to benefit me for college] so...I get a limited amount of money each week-like $45-$60 tops. I'm trying to find the best quality makeup for a reasonable/low price.

If I find an internship or something that pays me too, then I will start going to MAC and Sephora, but right now, I just don't want to use most of all my money on makeup...

Sooo :] do any of you know what makeup has great quality but low price. I am trying to decide between a few right now:

-Iman Second to None Cream to Powder Foundation

-Iman Second to None Luminous Foundation

-Milani Smooth Finish Cream to Powder Makeup

-Revlon Age Defying Makeup with Botafirm [I am not aging or anything lol I've just heard it works well for young people too :p]

    -Revlon Colorstay with Softflex

I'm really not sure if I want to try a liquid foundation because all I've every worn is powder before, but I want something that gives medium to full coverage [mostly full]. I don't really need it I guess, but I'm sick of my mediocre powder I'm using right now. The good thing about what I use right now though, is that it has salicylic acid so I don't break out or anything...that's my main concern. I have normal/combination skin and I don't have acne, just a normal breakout every month or so. I don't want to mess up and get the wrong makeup o.o

Oh and I am also wondering if Urban Decay,NARS, MAC, etc., are as good as everyone claims...

Answers are much appreciated!! Thanks! :] I will also choose a best answer [lol first time posting, but I guess that's what I'm supposed to do?]What is the best kind of face makeup[foundations, powders, con鈥?for less money?
Smart shade makeup by almay is sooooooo good!! i just recently started using it about a week ago and it works great. It dosent clog your poors and gives you full coverage without a cakey look like most liquid foundations. Its only at the most $10 and you can most def. find it at any drug store. Its soo cool too it goes on clear at first and then it changes to your exact skin tone its great you'll love it try it out! What is the best kind of face makeup[foundations, powders, con鈥?for less money?
Mineral powder makeup is good for all skin types
I really love Revlon's Color-stay with softflex for Oily/Combination skin

its like $10. I like it better than the Mac foundations.

and as far as powders go i like the ones from covergirl and maybelline. Those are like $5. FYI buy the loose powder instead of the pressed powder its better for your skin (esp if you're worried about breakouts)

    good luck
i'm a makeup junkie so take it from me haha :)

save some money %26amp; go to sephora. they have the cream of the crop

liquid is so horrribleee for u...here is my makeup list for u

1)make up forever concelar ( i think its like $40 but amazing..covers everythingg..)

2)bare minerals primer ( sets the skin for the makeup %26amp; i swear by it.) its like $21

3)tarte powder makeup spf 8 ( lasts all day and stays fresh on the skin)

4)makeup forever finsihing powder (makes skin look airbrushes...pricey but worth it)

5)for cheap mascara get healthy voulume from neutrogena..i think its almost better then dior and dosent clump

When you wear concealer, it is supposed to look like you're wearing makeup?

Okay, so I'm new to makeup. (I know a lot about it, and watched things on Youtube.) But I just started wearing only concealer (I got MAC Select Cover-up, a liquid concealer) and it looks so obvious. I am wearing NW25 that the MAC artist selected and it matches my skin tone but when I apply it it looks like I'm wearing makeup. I don't want that. I am going to return it and get either a cream or stick at MAC. I want full coverage for my really dark circles. Should I get the same shade (NW25) or a different one? I'm kinda shy, I don't like talking to the MAC Artists. Thanks! When you wear concealer, it is supposed to look like you're wearing makeup?
Well, you must remember that you ARE wearing make-up, so to you it will look like you are wearing make up, as you know what you are wearing and will spot the difference sooner. If you are un sure, ask a close friend for a second opinion.

And as for the colour, go a shade lighter then your normal skin tone, that way it will brighten the dark circles without covering them up, if you get my meaning.

The MAC people are there to help you, and they won't say ';Your wrong! And terrible at make-up, go and put your head in a paper bag, that's the only thing for it!'; They will help you, and give you their expert guidance that they do for a living.

You could always try a different make-up range, it may just be that MAC isn't for you. I like clinique, and although expensive, it is defiantly worth it.

    Good luck!

xWhen you wear concealer, it is supposed to look like you're wearing makeup?
If it's obvious, don't get it. (You learned makeup from youtube. seriously, I watch youtube makeup, but really you can't learn it from there.) Try blending it in more, or get a different brand. Maybe MAC's not right for you. Try Bare Escentual's Mineral powder concealers, I use that for my dark circles.

    Try going to sephora too.

ps. I know what you mean on not talking. AWKWARD!
Get the colour below, or you might just be applying too much.

If you try avoiding putting too much on and it still doesnt work, and the colour below is just the same try a different brand or different kind of concealer :)

If that doesnt work either then try asking somebody in a make up shop :]
i would try something else. bareminerals, although more expensive, but well worth it. dont mind Carissa she just cant use make up because nothing will ever work for her ugly face :)

    good luck!
    get bobbi brown concelar.
i use lancome marquicomplet. it looks very natural. go to macys or sephora and have them find ur right color

Makeup gets comes off throughout day/get gross, especially concealer..help!!?

I have used primer, tried all sorts of kinds of makeup including bare minerals, makeup forever, laura mercier. I just don't know what to do. It makes my face look weird, like you can tell I have the makeup on and it looks really gross when coming off. Kind of makes my face look spotty, especially the blemishes.

    Anyone else have this problem?

Ways to fix it?Makeup gets comes off throughout day/get gross, especially concealer..help!!?
Use powder/ blot a lot. I use a very dry foundation like Colorstay or L'ancome. It's the only thing that lasts more than 4 hours on my oily skin areas. Just keep trying products. Wear less, no moisturizer unless you have dry skin, and no greasy concealer. It's better to touch up/ reapply sometimes for a couple minutes in the bathroom, than have it slide off your face in front of people.Makeup gets comes off throughout day/get gross, especially concealer..help!!?
What you could do is, use oil free makeup and put a base podwer overtop of the makeup you applied. Also you could use oil bloters (body shop lavender) before you apply so you could also have less oil on your face before you apply.

If this doesn't work what you colud do is go to a hair salon or make-up artist and ask for a conslatation.

Or even call the 1-800 nubers from the cosmetic companies, they are trained artists.

    I hope this helps.
I think a visit to the dermatologist is in order. Short of that, I suggest you try Almay or Neutrogena on their website. I am sure that you are putting your make-up on right. There is some other problem. Possibly you need some type of prescribed medication that will assist in clearing up whatever condition that is making your make-up not set right on your skin.

A cleansing regimen with the right products for your skin can make a BIG difference in how make-up applies and stays on your skin to enhance your appearance and not look artificial.

The following web pages start at questions to find out your skin type.
Try Everyday Minerals. I use it. It is all day wear, covers very well, and is light.
I use dream matte mousse adn it stays on all day if im not sweating but i always carry my purse with my makeup in it with a mirror to touch up

And if i get a pimple i use cover up after i apply the mousse and blending is super important too :)

    I hope that helps ya!!
that makes two of us =/

i've tried everything but half way through the day it still comes off.

the only thing that sorta helped me is using the Olay toner with witch hazel in it...and try the Laura Gellar Spackle primer.
i have a feeling your skin might be dry. Do you use a mosturizer before you put on your makeup? if not i reccomend it. I also reccomend using one before you go to bed.
I will only use Physician's Formula powders which I put on right after I use CoverGirl's Fresh Complexion Foundation Powder. My makeup hardly ever slides with that combo.
I know EXACTLY what you are saying. Now I use Bare Minerals...a little $$$$$ but well worth it. I just bought Physicians Formula Loose powder...and I am really liking it also.
i would make an appointment with a makeup professional who can help you find what works best with your skin and recommend certain products.
Use (sheer) powder over your foundation and concealer to 'set' your makeup.
I don't wear makeup but... maybe you should give your face a rest for a few days then see what happens and at night make sure to get it all off.
    same problem here.

i would suggest finding someone BETTER to help you with it than sephora. :P
maybe u should try to use a lighter color or a darker color.

Concealer that won't mix in with my eye makeup?

every concealer i get mixes in with my eyeliner...i guess it's because of the eyeliner i use? i don't know

i've used everyyy eyeliner there is. from drugstore to department store it always mixes in with my concealer under my eyes, i know that's because concealers typically mix in with eyelinersand mascara, but how do other girls flaunt it without smearing the eye makeup together?

right now, i use urban decay eyeliner...it stays put long enough, but smears with my concealer..same with every mascara i use

i've used she laq by benefit too and didn't work. maybe i should try makeupforever eyeseal

anyway, does anyone know what eyeliners, mascaras and concealers i could use that wouldn't smear that badly?? and doe make up forever eyeseal work?

thanks in advance!!Concealer that won't mix in with my eye makeup?
Well from what you said... I dont think any concealer would help. BUT maybe you should try putting on eyeliner THEN concealer.

  • Which brand name makeup really lasts for 10-11 hours? also which is best undereye longlasting concealer?

Hi i need along lasting makeup which will last atleast for 10-12 hours in flight ,It takes 12 hours by flight to reach the destination, its a day flight ,willbe travelling with 2 toddlers so will not have time for touchups,I don't want to look like a movie star but just want my face to look fresh, also need a good undereye concealer any names......ThanksWhich brand name makeup really lasts for 10-11 hours? also which is best undereye longlasting concealer?
Well, I have 2 recommendations.... Clinique workout wear or bare minerals. I put my make up on at 3:30a and usually wash my face around 9p and it's still there, based on my wash cloth. I never touch it up, either.

Best undereye concealer I've ever used was Signature club A anchorwoman blue under eye. from HSN.Which brand name makeup really lasts for 10-11 hours? also which is best undereye longlasting concealer?
hi i had same problem and someone recommended me for revlon color stay in yahoo and i got it for myself..its really wonderful i have fallen in love with it..it truly stays for more then 16hour..Good luck
i use loreal infallible. and it works for me but tbh the trick with make up is to apply a few thin layers and lightly brish with a loose powder in between. it stays on ages then.

also i was told after everything like eye shadow and blush is on close ur eyes and use the quickest lightest spritz from far away of hair spray on ur face... keeps it on... i laughed when i was first told but hey.. it works :)
I use mac products and they work wonders.
Mac studiofix makeup stays on pretty long and its not that expensive!

Also yves saint laurent have a gud concealer and foundation!
All of the 'long wear' claims of makeup have been lost upon me. I don't know what I do but it always seems to disappear. Except Urban Decay's Lip Envy lip stain. Seriously, the color stays until you physically rub it off... talking, sleeping, eating, or kissing will not budge this sucker. But the lip gloss or chapstick that you put on top of it will of course have to be reapplied every so often. Still... the color, quality, and durability is amazing.
I'm a beautician buy trade and would recommend Bare Minerals . Can purchase it on eBay.
I am sorry but nothing has been recommended that will work for you above me.

There is only 1 company that can deliver this that is Bee Luscious Cosmetics, you can find them through a google search. I had been looking for years for a makeup that could handle my work schedule and still look fresh and nothing I spent so much time and money I had given up. Then I found Bee Luscious on the Allure message blogs and someone really loving it. So I called and got the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation and then get their mineral foundation pressed powder ,I am telling you its going to last you the entire 12 hour flight no problem at all. For a concealer what I started doing was I got their liquid powder foundation in a shade lighter I apply that first then your shade and brush the powder on top and your great to go ! God Luck on the trip.
    revlon colour stay
Hi ;-) I would recommend using Revlon, Colorstay Make-Up, (Foundation) It's great value at $35.00 and it stays on for more then 16 hours! I use it all the time and I love it!

    I recommend u try it!

    Hope I helped ;-)
The best foundation i have used is estee lauder double wear (i used to work for Dior and still swear by this!) the best concealer is a mac one and its in a little tube, not sure of the name, Estee lauder companies own mac, clinique, bobbi brown etc so they are the best, good luck :-)
yes have to agree with revlon colourstay :)
I love Bee Luscious Cosmetics, I have had wonderful long lasting results. Its a great choice for you to try. You will love it.
Dior or M*A*C mascara lasts me for the whole day.

Max Factor or Smashbox work great for concealers.
For a flawless look I highly recommend new Maybelline Superstay Silky 16hr foundation. It REALLY lasts all day.
I use Revlon Colorstay Active (Lite) everyday. I have combination skin which is very sensitive and which clogs easily with anything. This foundation has been very very nice to my skin. No adverse effects at all. It gives you light to medium coverage. Looks and feels like you have no makeup on. I have not tried the other colorstay versions so I don't know about those. But this one is worth trying. Be sure to MOISTURIZE your face atleast 10-15 min. before you apply it. It makes a lot of difference. Otherwise it is a little tricky to blend. Apply it on one area at a time so it will be easier to blend. If you get the technique, it is wonderful. It stays put in humidity, hot weather. Read the reviwes on www.makeupalley.com
I would recommend Dior Sculpt foundation.
YSL Touche Eclat is perfect...for everything. xD
I'd have to say Revlon Colorstay.

I have had acne in the past, so my skin texture is a little scarred.

I've been using this for 5 years and love it. It doesn't wear off all day.

You can get it off ebay for as little $16 for two bottles in the USA.

Getting married! Can someone tell me a good name brand of makeup to buy. what coverup or concealer. please?

Mary Kay, it lasts and a consultant can work with you to get the look you are going for.Getting married! Can someone tell me a good name brand of makeup to buy. what coverup or concealer. please?
avon or mary kayGetting married! Can someone tell me a good name brand of makeup to buy. what coverup or concealer. please?
well it depends on what color you are, if you're black I'd go with fashion fair, they're products blend amazingly and aren't riciulously expensive
One thing you need to keep in mind is MOST consumer makeup has titanium dioxide in it, which when you are being photographed (aka at your wedding) it will cause your face to look white. Just think of snap shots you have seen in the past with the girls' faces looking white. Well, there you go. MAC most definately has this and is not used by professional makeup artists. Do you want your wedding day pics ruined because the makeup you wore? You should look into airbrush makeup, it is perfect for wedding day, last longer and won't ruin your pics.
MAC. Most definately. I used their select cover concealor and it works like a charm. Good luck.
I love Bare Minerals! SOOOO good for your face! All natural minerals! Here's the link! You can find it at Sephora!

    http://www.sephora.com/brands/bare-escen鈥?/a>
I would recommend Bare Minerals, i've used their products for a really long time and I love them.
a great concealer would be from M.A.C. i use it and it works wonderful. And on top of that it won't cause you to break out which is the best part. just add a little under your eyes and other areas you want to cover up.It comes in a small container but it lasts a really long time i've had mine for 7 months and i use it everyday. it's $14. good luck. Also Lancome is good too. but the M.A.C concealer nad their make up line is great.
covergirl is cheap and works ( you could find it at walmart)...and clinic is has really good products like good concealers...but not the cheapest prices....
mac, not that expensive, and voted #1 in the world by every magazine!

Hope your wedding goes great. i wish you all the best!
Mac has all the make up products u need for a wedding
Go to a MAC store, they have great concealers and the salespeople will test out which works best for you.
MARY KAY all the way! I LOVE IT and RECOMEND it!!!!!

    Congrats and good luck!!!
MAC has great coverage, and Bare Minerals is good for an all day wear.
I use AVON and mark. make-up and really like them lots. The Perfect Match cream to powder foundation provides such great coverage, I almost never need a concealer! But all of their concealers are great, too. Never expensive or tested on animals.

Clinique and Bare Escentuals are the best make ups in my opinion.. they are oil free and are great at concealing.. i have acne scars and they cover it up well

I would like to hear your verdict on makeup concealers??

what makeup concealer do you use?

do you think concealer covers up what you want it to cover up?

    would you recommend a concealer?

what would you give the concealer you use out of /10

do you think they really work?I would like to hear your verdict on makeup concealers??
I use Mac's concealer and think it is excellent, its around 拢10 and definatly worth it. I give it 10/10.

It gives a smooth feel and when on, it feels like I'm not wearing any concealer at all!

I use it under my eyes, around my nose and on my chin.

Looks fantastic and lasts the whole day.I would like to hear your verdict on makeup concealers??
i used to have the Benefit one, i really liked it, it was good for covering up spots and dark circles under eyes etc. you should try it.

at the min i have YSL Radiant Touch pen, its class, a definate make up bag must have, its more a highlighter though than a concealer but its really good for around the eyes and sides of nose - it gets rid of any shadows / dark bits.

    i would recommend both actually.

i use as much Benefit make up as i can but you cant buy it where i live.
I think it's best to use powder and only powder, because I find that foundation/concealer tends to make my face very oily. I prefer Estee Lauder and Vincent Longo as far as powder goes. I would rate them both at a 8.
    1. bareMinerals

    2. pretty much(:

    3. yeah totalllyy

    4. maybe a 9?

    5. yup
    Don't use concealer at all!

I suggest you use foundation on needed spots on the face then use mineral powder foundation.

I use the maybelline kind. It's really really good! and affordable
    i use Mary Kay

    i would rate mine 8/10

    i would totally recommend concealers

MAKEUP HELP: how do you prevent concealer from melting off of your face by the end of the day?

i use concealer, not foundation because my skin gets redish in the mornings. the thing is that the concealer looks creasy and oily and cakey by the end of the day.i know some girls that use more make up than i do, and they dont get the cakey look. i have tried powder, but it does nothing. i need to use cream concealers to hide my dark circles. i use sunscreen before my makeup, because my skin is extremely pale- is that a possible reason why my makeup doesnt stick?MAKEUP HELP: how do you prevent concealer from melting off of your face by the end of the day?
    I have the same problem.

If I were you, I'd put on some primer before the concealer. And then a thin layer of translucent powder after that. It should help your makeup hold up longer.

    Here's the primer I use:

http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>MAKEUP HELP: how do you prevent concealer from melting off of your face by the end of the day?
The sunblock is most likely the reason you're not getting any staying power with your concealer and powder. It's too heavy and will cause your makeup to slip around on your face.

I would recommend to nix the sunblock and try a tinted moisturizer with spf instead.

If you have a problem with oily skin, apply some oil control lotion on your t-zone and cheeks before you use the tinted moisturizer.

After you apply your tinted moisturizer, You can dab a liquid concealer onto your dark circles (Use sparingly so it won't end up being cakey).

To set your base and concealer, apply a thin layer of translucent powder. The powder will help everything stay put.
well for 1, concealer is not to be used as foundation it is just to put under your foundation to hide your problems. Put some moisturizer on first b4 you do anything (preferably with spf15 atleast more is better tho) then put your concealer over the areas that need it most, if ur skin gets really red then use some green concealer as this counteracts the redness. Apply some liquid foundation over the top of the concealer aswell as the rest of your face (you can also use makeup on ur neck so it blends in better, i do this and it looks more natural) wen applyin the foundation use a sponge cos this uses less foundation and sreads it more and more evenly, wen thats all done use a little bit of translucent powder (this helps to get everything from melting, its not melt proof but it does help it) if the translucent powder is too light for ur skin, get a compact powder that suits ur skin and makeup and only use a brush (the bigger the brush the better the outcome) and very lightly brush the powder on. then apply your blush and eye makeup and everythin else...hope this helps
Don't use sunscreen, it's oily. Get an oil-free moisturizer with 15 to 35 SPF; Olay makes a decent, affordable one. Secondly, you need to set your concealer with foundation. If you're using liquid, apply your concealer and then apply foundation. If you're using powder, apply the powder and then apply the concealer. If you still have problems, simply touch-up your make up throughout the day. What kind of powder are you using? Revlon has the best drugstore price powder. Get a Kabuki brush for better coverage and to better set your concealer so that it will last longer. Good luck.. hope this helped.
yeah, the sunscreen could definitely be playing a part in why it is getting the cakey look. i get the same thing with my makeup, except my face starts looking shiny and oily and sometimes cakey. it stinks, and i've tried many things but all don't work. the thing i do to get rid of that look is reapply the makeup towards the end of the day. i have bareminerals, so it is a powder and the powder goes over the oily-ness and makes it look a little better. try looking into this, it REALLY helps me with this problem:

    bareminerals mineral veil
use a moisturiser as a base before you put your foundation on

use a foundation one shade darker than your skin tone and use a big brush. use as little as possible, less is more. then use a lighter shade powder to make sure your makeup looks freshly apllied all day.

as for your dark circles use a concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone and use a small brush and aply in small circles under then eye.

the reason why your makeup looked cakey is probably bcoz you used to much. remember less is more

and invest in a GOOD brush that always helps !!

    hope i helped.
there might be a few problems at work here.

one your sunscreen is probably too greasy. Try neutrogenas dry touch sunblock and wait a few minutes before putting on anything else.

two you should probably put on a face primer. I love smashbox's photo finish, but most should be fine.

three. Your concealer might either be too old (maybe youve had that just a little too long?) or it might be a cheap brand.. and you may think you need a cream, but you dont (i used to get cream all the time) I now use mac's liquid concealer.

four. You do need powder to set it in. Try a loose dusting powder, dont put it on heavy. Something like bear minerals, or any brand that makes some sort of loose mineral powder would work, Even over the counter brands make it now.

    Good luck.
I suggest investing in a good makeup primer. It preps your face and makes it stay a lot longer. And buy a good powder to set your concealer. The sunscreen is definitely a factor. I suggest putting your sunscreen on and waiting for it to set so it's not greasy and then put your concealer on.

    Hope this helps!! (:

    -AllysinnRejeanne%26lt;3
Why don't you use some tinted moisturiser as that has spf in it therefore you wouldn't need to use sunscreen aswell. But if not try using a dry oil sunscreen as its not greasy an your make up won't slide off it. Or try a highlighting concealer pen, i find they always look natural without looking cakey.

    hope that helps you.
use concealer for your circles and for the rest of ur facce if u need some in lil stops use it too then but on poweder it don;t seem like it would work but it works good. use the bare minerals make
you should use concealer and foundation, otherwise it will always look like that. Concealer is meant to be cakey and heavy.
try macs make up primer.. not sure of the cost but it works really well...
blend it in with a slightly damp brush x
i add a little lotion to the liquid ,before i put it on

Does using a cream or liquid under eye concealer work with Bare Essence or other mineral makeups?

I have the well rested also but it does not give enough under coverage.Does using a cream or liquid under eye concealer work with Bare Essence or other mineral makeups?
yup i use bare minerals...but it doesn't give me enough coverage for my under eyes either so i use clinique concealer...the one that comes in a green tube. you should give it a try.Does using a cream or liquid under eye concealer work with Bare Essence or other mineral makeups?
Yes, It'll do. You should be able to use any concealer without problem.
I use under eye concealer with my Physicians formula mineral wear. It seems to work just fine.
any concelar should do the trick. then lightly apply well rested. not too much of both cuz it'll start to look cakey!

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k136/b鈥?/a>I am 13 and i want to wear makeup? but i dont have concealer or foundation?
Powder, a bit of mascara and some eyeliner is all you want at 13 and most of the time anyway. Foundation on young skin looks v bad. If you get a good powder like a minerals one it cant work to cover undereye circles. Otherwise look out for the hightlighting pens eg. yves saint laurent. THat is probably too expensive for you so my best suggestion is to go to boots with a friend and just spend like an hour testing the makeup till you find the right one! I am 13 and i want to wear makeup? but i dont have concealer or foundation?
    Hi,

Judging by your picture, girl you do not need any foundation or concealor just yet. Just wash your face twice a day. after your wash in the morning use a luminous face cream. I believe Nivea and Dove may have it. Its has a slight shine/sparkle in it and makes your face glow. then if your mom allows you to, add just a pinch of blush, if you ahve a nice light shadow a bit of that too, a bit of mascara and some lip gloss and your down! Nothing heavy! you're beautiful and shouldn't hide your natural face.

    ~M
    Heyy,

    I am 12.

    I have :

    Fountation

    Concealer

    Eyeliner

    Blush

    Lip Gloss

    And so many more

I started to wear fountation when i was like 11.

Yes i know it is pretty bad.

I only where foundation to hide spots and i use concealer to cover the dark circles and sometimes my spots.

But if you get a rubbish fountation and conealer it can make your spots worse or since you are putting concealer by your eyes it can make them go puffy.

So i think you should get conealer but get a more exspensive 1!
foundation is a must for me, and if you want a cheap yet good one - go for miss sporty, its made for teenagers! i used to use it but then changed to maybelline but i loved using miss sporty..

their foundation is 拢2.99 and their concealer is also 拢2.99 which is reallly good!

thank you for answering my question btw, hope i helped' x
You don't need anything more than eyeliner and mascara. Let you're natural beauty shine! If you like you could get blush and a neutral eye shadow too, but you're naturally beautiful so you don't need more.
yes get concealer! i made the mistake of not having it for years and walking around w/ circles under my eyes!! now i have it and wouldn't have it anyother way
I think you have a lovely natural look. Just add a bit of mascara, lip gloss and blusher to really accentuate your features.
i dont think you need it. you look fine without it. I'd makybe put on a little eyeliner and mascera and be done with it.
Buy a Chanel concealer, Chanel is very good for the skin!
    you're a very pretty girl :)

the key to having a natural looking yet effective concealer is choosing the right color.always go for a yellow based foundation concealer since that is what hides dark spots and other imperfections.

some high end brands are pretty expensive so if you want something that works but doesn't cost too much go to your local pharmacy and buy some revlon concealer.i think it's the best of the cheaper brands.if you're willing to splurge a little i recommend M.A.C.it is by far the best makeup up out there.i haven't used anything else for years and i love it.

judging on your pic,you don't need a lot of makeup.you are a little young as well but there's nothing wrong with trying it :)

If you had to pick one type of makeup to wear, other than foundation and concealer, what would pick?

For me it would definately have to be mascara.

My eyelashes look so gross without it! ;DIf you had to pick one type of makeup to wear, other than foundation and concealer, what would pick?
Mascara. The eyes are the window to the soul, and I want my soul to be long, thick and pretty! LolIf you had to pick one type of makeup to wear, other than foundation and concealer, what would pick?
    mascara
    mascara
    Mascara.
    mascara
    same as you.
    Me too. Mascara.
Lipstick. I feel complete with a good shade and the right outfit!
    lip gloss
    mascara
Mascara for sure. I never leave home without it.
chapstick, chapped lips hurt and look nasty sometime
    eyeliner of course.

my eyes are so gross without it. sometimes. lol

Need new makeup regimen? best finishing spray, concealer, foundation, and powder for my face? (info below)?

my face: currently using proactive. face is pretty clear w/ about 10 pimples and plenty of scars. gets very dry and itchy from proactive. very sensitive. i work out a lot and need makeup to stay on all day (about 12 hours)

what i want: as natural as possible, but blemish covered face thats lasts!

    my color: fair or ivory

    1. finishing spray for dry/combination/sensitive skin. evian worth it? or burts bees better? best way to apply for best coverage?

    2. best cover up for blemishes and scars (helps heal blemishes, reduces appearance of scars, oil free, derma tested, wont dry out skin)

    3. foundation or tinted moisturizer ? and best way to apply?

    4. do i need powder? and loose or pressed is best? and best way to apply (ex. circular motion)

thanks so much for all your help! sorry this is so long! lolNeed new makeup regimen? best finishing spray, concealer, foundation, and powder for my face? (info below)?
first off, loose the proactive. it wont get your face 100% clear. you ill always have a few pimples. it also doesnt fade scars.

i use burts bees deep cleaning cream. its amazing and will help clear your face and make it look really clean and feel soft. second, use a scrub once or twice a week to remove dead skin. it will brighten your face. use all of burts bees products. i just noticed you mentioned them in your question. def use their finishing spray. their products are just amazing.

2, use a concealer to cover up scars and pimples. i love maybellines coverstick concealer. its like 3 bucks at walmart. i have it in light beige. im pretty pale. then use revlons color stay mineral foundation. this was about 13 bucks but has lasted awhile for me. it makes my face look really smooth and it covers up everything great!

3, kind of covered this already, but if you are breaking out, stay away from most foundations. try oil free ones.

    4. i love loose powder. it covers better than pressed. and doesnt look as cakey to me. small round circular motions. and remember to do your jaw and neck so it doesnt look like you are wearing a mask :)

just remember to think light :) the more you put on, the more your face will clog up and break out. also use a light oil free spf 15 moisturizer in the morning before the make up goes on. i love clean and clear oil free advantage lotion. it helps with break outs, has spf 15, and keeps my skin soft.

good luck!Need new makeup regimen? best finishing spray, concealer, foundation, and powder for my face? (info below)?
For two parts of your question, I can help you.

Firstly, for a cover-up I would highly reccomend MAC concealers. The best one I think you should try is Studio Finish Concealer with SPF 35. It's creamy, has a matte finish, and is their best all over cover concealer. Also the SPF 35 is a plus because especially if you have acne, always look for make-up with sun protection also.

And for a powder, I would recommend anything Clinique. I use tge Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder, and I have about the same skin as yours with a few pimples and many scars. It's oil free and is shine absorbing. I haven't tried loose powder yet, but I'm sure Clinique ones will work best if you want to try it.

For foundation I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid, and it's okay but it's not the best so I can't help you there.

Hope the rest helps though and you find great make-up.

    xx
Cover Up - MAC studio finish, i just bought it and i absolutely love it. Its a bit expensive, a little go a long way and you get what you pay for.

Foundation - DO NOT GET MAC FOUNDATION. I broke out terribly and so did many other people i know. I like revlon colorstay, but thats just me. I use wedges or dab it on my face and blend with a brush

Powder - I dont use powder because foundation is enough right? Who wants to layer their face like a cake?

One other thng that may come in handy is a shine eraser. Cliche cosmeticss has an amazing one. Its about 12$ american.

Makeup Help PLEASE!!!! =) about concealer, eyeshadow, and eyeliner..ohh and foundation?

first off...some info I am a teenager and i need some makeup help

I am going to walmart tomorrow to get some makeup and i have some question..I have blonde hair and fair skin. I have one bright blue eye and the other is half bright blue and half green. OK

Ok so what i am looking for is a concealer to cover up my dark eyes in the morning...and a question about that is DO I HAVE TO PUT ON FOUNDATION OVER THE CONCEALER? and if i do...what kind and the prices please..

and also i am looking for makeup such as eyeliner and eyeshadow to make my eyes ';POP'; and so what color eye shadow would make blue eyes...(well mostly blue eyes lol) POP! ???? and what color eye liner is good for blue eyes??? umm...like a charcoal grey? idk...i need your help! please answer my question!

Thank you!Makeup Help PLEASE!!!! =) about concealer, eyeshadow, and eyeliner..ohh and foundation?
If you want a flawless look, you should put concealer on and then put foundation over it, making sure they are blended together. You can use concealer alone on your under eyes, but make sure you blend it in to your cheeks well or else it will look really unnatural. Get concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone if your circles are really dark, and use one with a yellowish tone. For eyeshadow, use light colors. Purple would go really well with your blue eyes, but i wouldn't get blue or green eyeshadows. They won't make your eyes 'pop'. The best thing to make your eyes pop would be brown mascara. IMO maybeline has the best mascaras. Brown eyeliner is good, don't use black, it would be too harsh on your face.

Drugstore prices [Department store brands like Clinique/Mac/Lancome are wayy more] :

    Foundation - $10-20

    Concealer - $5-10

    Eyeshadow - $3-8

    Mascara - $6-12

    Eyeliner - $2-7

Hope this helps =)Makeup Help PLEASE!!!! =) about concealer, eyeshadow, and eyeliner..ohh and foundation?
a yellow or peach tone concealer works to cover up dark circles because peach and yellow tones counteract the dark area and help to blend in with the rest of the skin. and yes, you can put foundation over the concealer to help blend it in more with your foundation to give you a flawless look.

i know that purple and brown tones help blue eyes pop.

a brown eyeliner would be nice also.
no you dont have to put foundation on if you use concealer. Im not a huge fan of eye shadow personally though. My friend was blonde and fair skinned and she used a creamy white eye shadow and it looked pretty cute. Everyone looks good w/ black mascara and eye liner =) Cant go wrong w/ it...
    go to clinique

its not in wal mart but its in belk and other places

for everything its about $200 but i only got some of the stuff for $100
im a teenager too .its better it you put the concealer on first then the foundation.the best concealar color for fair skin is salmon.not that many people know. the kind of prices is dont like get 2 -5 dollar range cause they suck.but i usually would perfer use a proffesional kind of makeup it pricey but it worth it.here are pricey kind of makeup:MAC,clinque, sephora, ben nye???i dont know know but they have good concealer.always remember for the foundation get the one for your skin type if you have oily skin get a foundation for oily skin if you have dry skin find a foundation for dry skin and if you have combo then look for the one with a combo if you have normal skin then use the one for normal skin.

color of eyeshadow for blue eye:

go for a warm copper, burnished gold, or rich brown eye shadow. Chocolate is an excellent shade choice for eyeliner.

color of eyeshadow for green eye:try out purple eye shadow shades such as lavender, violet, or amethyst. Keep the color sheer so it won't look garish. For eyeliner, a deep plum is perfect

TIP:*sometime black eyeliner can look harsh on fair skin people.

TIP:*to make your eyes like pop put white eyeliner on the waterline

TIP:*dont use blue eyeshadow it blend in with your eyes so it makes it hard for your pretty blue eyes to show

My mascara trick i love and im sharing with you :] :

    Step 1: WIGGLE.

Wipe excess mascara off the brush head, then place it under the very base of your lashes so it's gently touching your eyelid. Now wiggle the bristles back and forth a few times. The wiggle motion thoroughly coats and separates your lash roots, making them look as thick as possible.

    Step 2: SWOOP.

Slowly stroke the mascara from roots to ends. Let dry for a few seconds, then apply a second coat.

    Step 3: TOP OFF.

Lightly swipe the very tips of your lashes a third time to maximize their length.

Ok, im need to buy makeup, what should i buy? Concealer, blush, what??

Alright, if you're just starting out. A quick fresh face has mascara and lip gloss. I like Maybelline Great Lash, it's in a pink and green tube and all of the other makeup artists I know love and use it as well. Lancome Juicy Tubes or any gloss you like is good for a youthful lip, skip lipliner until you're older. If you'd like to go for a full face of makeup you'll need foundation, concealer, light, medium and dark eyeshadows, eyeliner and blush to go with the gloss and mascara. In my opinion Prescriptives, Laura Mercier and Bare Escentuals make the best foundations, concealers and bases in general, Loreal True Match is a good drugstore brand. Try Loreal HIP shadows or shadows by MAC or Too Faced and play around with the colors that are complementary to your hair, eyes and skin tones. Blush is a must for a youthful, fresh face, bronzer doesn't hurt either, try HIP for those as well if not MAC and definitely NARS makes the best blush. If you need application tips, go to Sephora or MAC or Bare Escentuals and have them give you a makeup application, although they'll expect you to buy something. You could also go to your local beauty school and have the esthetician students give you a makeup application. It'll cost you less than $20. Good luck and have fun! Makeup trends are dictated by fashion, so magazines will help a lot as well. Allure is a great magazine for makeup tips.Ok, im need to buy makeup, what should i buy? Concealer, blush, what??
If you dont know what you need you are too young to wear it.Ok, im need to buy makeup, what should i buy? Concealer, blush, what??
    I buy eyeliner,coverup,and mascara

it works...and for the coverup..but a little bit darker than your skin..it gives you that tan look and looks great with the eyeliner...
Probably concealer, if u have a good concealer it could make all the difference...as long as ur skin looks good....u dont really need a lotta other make up....
concealer, light powder, normal powder, basic brown shadow, eyeliner, light blush, and gloss.

also buy different sizes of brushes
Try a loose powder like Neutrogena and some mascara and gloss...don't do anything too heavy.
u need to choose a budget b4 u just go buying all that, dont go broke!
I usually buy a good foundation for every-day wear (And a matching concealer if needed).

Blush isn't needed for every day wear, unless you're going somewhere and want to look extra special.
    concealer,blush,mascara,eye shadow,lip gloss.

    For colors,go bye your complexion.
If you're just starting to wear makeup, go with foundation, and a subtle shade of blush and eyeshadow. Only get concealer if you have dark circles under your eyes or any imperfections on your face you want to try and hide.
how about a simple eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss
first of all what is your ethnicity. i'm african american and i use a light foundation that has a high spf sunscreen in it (like cosmedicine or stilla products). I also use eye-shadow when i'm just going to work i like to use a color that is close to my skin tone just a litle lighter (its very simple...usually mac eyeshadow). I sometimes wear eyeliner but I usually hold that off until i go out to a party. and as for masscara don't use anything use like the clear masscara that just seperates and smoothes out your eyelashes.
If you are looking for a great make-up website for all the good brand names here it is www.strawberrynet.com. I'm in Australia and my moisturizer here is $160.00 A%26lt;U on strawberry it is $80.00 about half price most things.Have used them for years and never a problem.3 days delivered to your door from day of purchase from Hong Kong.
she doesnt have a my space
Depends on what you're wanting to cover up or highlight. Foundation is a good place to start since it'll give you a nice ';canvas'; for whatever you want to highlight while camouflaging any blemishes, marks, etc. If you're starting from scratch I'd also go for mascara, liner and lipstick and blush if you can afford it. www.sephora.com is kick-butt makeup site that has more makeup lines than you can count. They also offer makeup advice and trends, etc. Sephora also has stores that offer makeovers in larger cities. You could also go to a department store makeup counter and get a ';makeover'; but be careful of feeling obligated to buy and also of the salesperson's style. If you don't feel comfortable with their choice of colors, application, etc. don't buy and don't hesitate to speak up or go to someone else. Have fun!
Buy a fashon magazine that has make-up tips and pictures. If there's a look you like, they will usually have advice on what to buy and how to apply it.

    hahahaaa
Im not a makeup ARTIST, but i can help you!

For foundation, I would use the queen collection by covergirl. It is designed for darker skin tones, and im sure they have concealer as well.

Concealer is normally used to hide under- eye circles and blemishes. If you do not have any of these things, it would be best not to use concealer.

You will apply your makeup preferably in the morning, and add concealer touchups throughout the day- if you are an active person, that is. If you are in high school, you could just re- apply in the bathroom or during lunch break.

    good luck!

Green or Yellow Tinted Concealer-What is better makeup for ROSACEA?

I just got diagnosed...I am having a really hard time coping with this so...for anyone else with Rosacea...what works better as a FULL FACE concealer (not spots and blemishes)? Green or Yellow, Ive heard from different sources that one is better than the other but I guess Im not sure??

    I should note:

-I have fair/light skin (so redness is easily seen :( )

-I dont like POWDER makeup, I dont even wear powder now, Id prefer something that can be bought in a liquid base

-If you can suggest any brands that I can find at Walgreens/CVS (something relatively cheap).....the other foundation im aware of is Physicians Formula...any others?Green or Yellow Tinted Concealer-What is better makeup for ROSACEA?

Bare Minerals is it the best makeup and about Concealer???

I heard so much good things about Bare Minerals makeup....but I have never used it before...

Has anyone ever used it?? Is it healthy for ur face?? Is it the best makeup out there???

Also Please tell me about concealer and if that is good for ur face cause i've never used that either. How do u also used it...

Thank u so much for all ur answers....I really dont wear a lot of makeup..Bare Minerals is it the best makeup and about Concealer???
I am a bare minerals advocate. I do feel that the makeup is great. It looks great on your face and it also feels great. It makes your complexion look almost flawless. It comes out smooth and silky. The concealer is wonderful and covers almost anything. It really makes you look incredibly natural, as though you don't have any makeup on, just naturally perfect. I hope this helps. Sheer Cover (Bare Mineral's rival) is also wonderful. Either which way you go, you can't go wrong. Best of luck and I hope this helps.Bare Minerals is it the best makeup and about Concealer???
depends on your skin i think...i have oily/blemish prone yet sensitive skin and it caused an outbreak on me...and it did nothing to conceal redness or my blemishes. also the makeup was sorta just sitting on my skin..it did absolutely NOTHING for me. and i had it applied by the manager of the store. BUT everyone's skin is different and so go and try it out for yourself at the store and walk around it in for a day and see how u feel!
i use bareminerals but it does have somethings that are not absolutelt great for your face id try everyday minerals first because they dont have the bismuth(a filler that can cause itching) like bare minerals does...however i like bareminerals alot and it looks great on all my friends good luck :)
I did use it for a while but became sensitive to an ingredient in the product that made my face very itchy. While I was using it I did not get the coverage I expected.

I switched to kms mineral essentials and no longer had the sensitivity. I also get better wear and coverage. The light bisque concealer is amazing. I love my skin now.

Great makeup sponges for foundation/concealer ect.?

sonia kashuk has some really good brushes! you can find them at target. they are a little pricey, but they are just as good as big brand name, but half the price!

i just use triangle sponges from walmart or walgreens. you can get a lot for about $2. i use them for liquid foundation. if you use them, remember to get them a little damp first, it helps reduce the amount of product getting absorbed into the sponge, which causes you to waste product.Great makeup sponges for foundation/concealer ect.?
yup. beautyblender. kinda expensive but itll last forever as long as you take good care of it.

or you can buy those white spongey wedges they sell in packs.

    Makeup/Skin Help: Sunscreen and Concealer?

Hi my nose is burnt, like bright red, how can i heal my sunburn? how can i cover it with makeup? and any tips on applying under-eye concealer so it doesn't get all cakey but still gives me enough coverage? thnx %26lt;333Makeup/Skin Help: Sunscreen and Concealer?
Try a mineral powder on your sunburn, has saved me a few times in summer. Try applying yuor concealer under yuor eyes with a brush. Good LuckMakeup/Skin Help: Sunscreen and Concealer?
Aloe Vera gel will help heal the sunburn faster. If you want to cover it up, be careful, when you have a burn like that your makeup tends to look really cakey especially if you start to peel. For under your eyes, you need to get a yellow-based creamy concealer, pat it w/ your ring finger until it's blended.
The best way to get rid of a sunburn is use a sunburn healing agent that has aloe vera in it. As for the concealer, you can cover the sunburn up, but there still might be some redness left underneath.

I have a makeup dilemma...? Foundation and Concealer...?

I'm biracial and have a medium tan that leans towards a lighter Spanish tint-look. I'm just getting into that phase of womanhood where I'd like to learn how to apply facial makeup like foundation and stuff without looking creepy. I know how to use lipstick, lipgloss, and eye and lip liner. It's the whole facial coverage thing that gets me. I get too freaked when the Macy's girls make you look scary, so I'm trying my luck here. Should I use a powder, mousse, whipped, or a liquid? Personally, I like what's practical and the least messy, fastest and easiest to apply. And should I worry about concealer at twenty years old? Any help? Thanks. -M.I have a makeup dilemma...? Foundation and Concealer...?
Try bare escentuals-- it is natural looking and in a lot of colors.I have a makeup dilemma...? Foundation and Concealer...?
i'm a powder girl myself. i use maybelline everfresh concealer if there's anything i have to cover up, then just brush on some revlon colorstay powder.

i've never been able to wear liquid foundation and have it look good, partly because i'm incredibly pale though... i have what you'd call 'porcelain' skin so any color just looks like a mask on me. i don't like liquid foundation but for darker tones it may work well, i'd give it a try. try covergirl, they have some good liquid foundations.

or just go powder. it's a little messy if you go crazy with it but all you do is buff around your face and you're ready- whereas with liquid you get it on your hands and you have to blend and mix etc etc.

    i'd say try powder.

    good luck! %26lt;3
i like liquid foundation because its pretty simple to apply, and it doesnt really get caked on like when using a powder, also just a tip, put the foundation on first because it gives a more even look, then if needed use a tad of concealer on the areas needed. have fun... test it out, cause only you know whats best for you and your face. :)
Try the minreal makeup - it's very light but good coverage. Get a make-over at Sephora or Ulta with Bare Minerals
My skin tone sounds to be the same as yours. I love the Bare Minerals.
I love mineral makeup too (bareminerals) and would never, ever go back to liquid. But if you can get by with light to medium coverage, there is something even easier - you might want to try Laura Geller's Balance %26amp; Bronze (for your skin tone). It is like a baked powder foundation - much easier to use and not a messy as minerals. I use it and love it - I would use it all the time, except I need a fuller coverage.
Get ahold of a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant they will work with you until its right, they have 5 diffrent formulas to choose from as well as a tinted moisturizer that is amazing! Check at the Mary Kay web site www.Mary Kay.com
First, I would determine what skin type you are and go from there. If you decide to go with a liquid/creme foundation, try wetting a cosmetic sponge, squeezing it out enough to keep it just a bit damp, and using that to evenly apply your foundation. I started doing this about a year ago and found that my foundation goes on more evenly, never appears streaky or heavy, and faster than trying to smooth it out with my fingers. (I'm a light skinned Hispana, too.)

Second, if at all possible, go with a neutral color unless you are sure you are a cool or warm. I tend to go cool but can get away with warms as well.

You should be able to get away with a light dusting of translucent powder without it looking too heavy, unnatural.

Unless you have certain things to cover up, I wouldn't even bother with concealer. Sometimes doing so attracts more attention to the problem area than without.

    Hope this helps,

    Mon :-)
i would use concealer to spot-treat problem areas, then apply tinted moisturizer (or a water-based foundation to prevent pore clogging) with clean fingers for all over use, and then use a powder brush to lightly dust powder (using a sponge tends to make it look heavier). since the summer is coming, you might want to invest in bronzer for some shimmer.
Remember to get a base which matches your skin tone. That way it doesn't show so much that you have make-up on, but you still get the even-toned look. I prefer pressed-powders. MAC is a good brand and their pressed-powder (called Studio Fix) is fast and easy to put on and it stays on very well. It's also not messy at all.

I've never liked liquid. It gets too thick. For me it's messy along with the mousse, and whipped stuff. Studio Fix by MAC is by far my favorite. Here's their website:

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>

Concealer is usually used around the eyes, nose, or to cover blemishes. If you don't have dark circles or anything, then you don't need it. I think the Studio Fix covers well enough that unless the circles are really dark and the blemishes red and swollen, that concealer isn't needed.

Go to sephora, l'oreal , lancome,or Mac in the mall tell them you want make up that look natural and explain your concerns about the look you want and they will help you find the look that suit you best

    Good luck
Go to Sephora and try Bare Escentuals. I bought the ';starter kit'; and it came with everything I needed. I've been using it for about two months now, and I love it. I never bothered with foundation before because it was too time consuming and too messy. This is a breeze to put on, super fast, and low maintenance. A friend talked me into buying Bare Escentuals, and I'm glad she did! I didn't really think that I needed concealer either (I don't really have any blemishes), but now after using Bare Escentuals, I'd never go without! It's really light and makes your skin one even color.

  • Help! With drug store makeup please ? Foundation & Concealer.?

    1. What foundation can stay long and will blend in my skin ?

    2. Do we need concealer too ? If so what do you suggest ?

    3. How can I know my shade so I can pick ?

    ----

It's my first time using face stuff.Help! With drug store makeup please ? Foundation %26amp; Concealer.?
I don't really recommend drugstore foundation, but concealer, blush, and powders are fine.

    1) Clinique liquid foundation does wonders on my face and you can get it at a Macy's or anywhere that sells Clinique. This is especially good for acne prone skin or anything like that. I used this foundation a lot when I was on stage for musical theatre and chorus recitals. I broke a sweat but it never came off :]

    2) I recommend concealer only if you have unwanted blemish spots, scars, or anything that foundation can't cover. I suggest Sally Hansen 2 in 1 concealer it's like a stick thing that has a green concealer side for red blemishes and a skin toned concealer for non reddish blemishes.

    3) Go to the mall or any place with one of those make up lady personnel, and tell them it's your 1st time picking up foundation and they'll help you find your shade. Once you find your shade you can even go to the drugstore and pick up something similar to that shade.

have fun!! :]Help! With drug store makeup please ? Foundation %26amp; Concealer.?
I like the dream matte mosse, it works well for foundations, then for concealer I prefer the ';lipstick-like'; ones, with a slightly lighter shade then my own skin color. Every company has one. Then as far a shade, it takes a while to get that one, if you happen to be at a BX, Yonkers, Dillards at like a mall they have beauty counters with people at them that may help for free, dont feel obligated to buy those expensive products because you ask for help, most drug-store ones are fairly good. Also less is more, dont be that girl in Middle or High school that globs it on, or dont have darker face foundation, with a white pale neck, Ive seen it happen. I dont personally like powders. And heres a note, get a slightly pink blush, it really helps just dont go over board. Good Luck on shopping. Oh get a good mascara, I like the yellow one...errr I cant recall what its called but it has purple type on it.
Get Loreal True Match with SPF. It blends well and it protects your skin from the sun.

concealer is only needed if you feel like you need more coverage, but the foundation should do the trick.

I match the color on the bottle to the color of my skin on the inside of my wrist. It's supposedly the closest to your facial skin tone.
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>

    1. it honestly depends on your type of your skin. Almay has great foundation for dry, oily, or normal skin.

    2. Concealer is for those problems areas. I have physicaisn forumla concealer stick, it's alright. (: But you have to put your shade of foundation over it.

    3. Ask someone for assistance, test it out on your hand. It's honestly hard to tell sometimes...

    good luck!

    Concealer for drag makeup??

My best friend is becoming a drag next week. It's his first time and we're trying to find a concealer that's strong enough to cover his 5 o' clock shodows. He's of asian descent and tan complexion. I've heard something about panstick or something. If any of u have done/seen/did drag makeup, please share ur experiences. thankx :)Concealer for drag makeup??
    MAC IS THE BEST.

Ask to see the product specialist who can match the right product for male skin and colour.

they are the best out there!Concealer for drag makeup??
You should tell him to go to the MAC cosmetic store and try their concealers. They have some that are very thick and can cover anything.

Maybe you can go with him and he doesn't have to tell them he's doing if for drag, unless he wants to, he can just say that he's going on a tv show and he needs to do his own makeup and he wants to cover his shadow.

If MAC is not available in your area, they have a website, link is below. They have many items to chose from, but I would tell him to go to the store so they can test the products on his skin and find the right color. From then on you can just order online.

I used to do drag but I don't have a bad shadow so I never had that problem. But any pancake/pan stick makeup should do. These are usually very thick makeup used in stage and film so they're thicker than the OTC makeup like maybeline/revelon/l'oreal etc., so they aren't really meant to be worn on the street because it looks really heavy and un-natural.

If your friend is going to be doing drag a lot, you should tell him to get his face professionally waxed. That way he can just use lighter products like Maybeline etc.

MAC makeup users: for those who use the pot concealer?

have you noticed that the consistency is initially gritty and then gets creamy? i've noticed this with the last two pots i've bought.MAC makeup users: for those who use the pot concealer?
I use the Studio Sculpt and have not had this problem. Are you using the Studio Finish or the Studio Sculpt?

I would imagine that the top layer dries out just slightly and this could account for the grittiness. You can probably avoid any drying by storing your makeup someplace warmer. I keep mine in shallow-drawer storage units in my bathroom. The heat and humidity from the shower, I think, is what keeps the products from drying out.

I have tons of paint pots, fluidlines, etc and only had one or two dry out on me, when I stored them someplace else. Also, make sure you always put the lid on tightly.

concealer hides the LITTLE imperfections on your face.

like a little pimple,or you can dab some beneath your

Concealer is a bit like foundation but it is used more to cover up a blemish or under eye circles. I used to use MAC concelear but because i don't have a store near me, i have to order it over the internet. And one time i ran out of it and my next order wasn't coming until a couple days later so i had to run to the store and get one. I just picked up more or less the first one i saw and it was the Maybeline Mineral Power Concealer. It comes in a little tube like a lip gloss tube and it is gret for covering up spots or bags under the eyes. I always use it now and instead of the MAC, i also use the Mineral Power foundation and powder. You should try them too. xoxo
Concealer is like foundation but thicker, it is used to cover up spots and imperfections you can buy still coloured concealer to cover up spots, green concealer for redness and orange based concealer for undereye circles. They come in many different forms, creams , liquids, powders and some are like pressed powder creams and some are even in lipstick shapes
concealer just hides like red spots and minor imperfections

i use physicians formula and u can get it at like cvs or walgreens, pretty much anywhere

it is a great brand and i use it every day

    they have two sides

they all have one side that u use on anything on ur face, then there is a green side for red spots, and a darker color for under your eyes. theere is a great variety and it is amazing!!
concealer hides the imperfections on your face that foundation can't and it's also good for hiding dark circles

sometimes, if you have the right brand, you can use it as a primer for eyeshadow.
concealer is just a mini foundation that is used to cover up little spots rather then your whole face. you can use liquid or compact concealer to cover up under-eye circles, pimples, red spots, etc.
it covers up spots and stuff on your face

    i use benefit xx

Do guys notice it much when a girl is wearing foundation or concealer and if her eye makeup creases a little ?

Of course, if it's not over-the-top, just your usual every day look. Do guys pay attention to that stuff or do you pay more attention to the way a girl talks and if she smiles?Do guys notice it much when a girl is wearing foundation or concealer and if her eye makeup creases a little ?
I notice it, but not especially. Like, I can tell when a girl is wearing eyeliner or not, but it doesnt matter that much to me, unless it looks stupid or its too much.

I'd say the answer to your question is no - guys wont care as long as you look good haha.... in general we're pretty shallow, the way she talks and smiles is like defintely giving us a lot of credit - guys for the most part judge solely on looks right away.

So as long as its not like obviously noticable and you look good otherwise, its all good

I'm new to makeup and I'm wondering if concealer is only for use to cover dark circles under your eyes

Like, I don't really want to start using foundation because I think my skin isn't all that bad, but on my forehead I have a lot of hyperpigmentation that I really want to cover up. So I 'm wondering if there is a type of concealer you can use for that area and if your in the store how do you test to see if you have the right color? I heard that you're not supposed to dab some on your arm because your arm and face have different skin tones but I might be wrongI'm new to makeup and I'm wondering if concealer is only for use to cover dark circles under your eyes
Concealer can be used for anything! I use it under my eyes and when I get a zit and to cover up some scarring I have.

Since you're new to makeup I would go to like Macy's, Nordstrom, or Sephora (located at your local mall) and go to their makeup counter and tell them that you never wear makeup and need help with finding the right shade to wear. That is what I did when I first started out, and they helped me alot! I still go to the makeup counters and ask for help with shades. I recently bought Mineral Makeup and had NO clue what shade I was for the concealer and the lady at Sephora just looked at me after I asked and immediatly picked out a color. I bought it home and it was perfect! These people know what they are doing LOL

As for tinted moisturizer .. its basically what it says : a moisturizer with a tint. It moisturizes with medium-little coverage. Here is a site with Tinted Moisturizer FAQ: http://www.ineed2know.org/TintedMoisturi鈥?/a>

I use tinted moisturizer during the summer to give my face a little 'glow''. I usually just shop around to buy the cheapest one, LOL They all basically are good. I suggest trying Walgreens ( http://www.walgreens.com ) or CVS ( http://www.CVS.com ) to look for tinted moisturizers.

Hope that helped!I'm new to makeup and I'm wondering if concealer is only for use to cover dark circles under your eyes
Some girl about an hour ago, got good comments for that product to cover a hickeyon her neck.
I usually use concealer to cover up any pimples or complexion imperfections (rarely for dark circles under eyes), and light powder on top. I never use foundation, I think natural is beautiful...
A concealer can be used to cover any skin imperfections. However, if you aren't going to blend a foundation underneath the concealer, you should be sure to blend the concealer really well so your skin doesn't look pale in some areas and dark in others. When testing colors, use the backside of your right hand. You should also use a concealer that is a shade or two lighter than your foundation color. If have trouble finding a shade you like, try neutral shades. They are more likely to match most skin tones.
concelear covers dark circles pimple and blimish

    on the forehead use foundation

    and then a light powder

    1st moisturize moisturize moisturize!
Talk to the ladies at the makeup counter. You can certainly use concealer for all kinds of blemishes, so there's no reason they couldn't help you with this.
you should rub in on the back of your hand to check for the right tone.

A great foundation (that you can use in certain spots/ not all over your face) is Cover Girl TruBlend Whipped foundation. It isn't greasy, it's light and goes on very smooth. I love it! I have been wearing it for a LONG time. I also use Cover Girl Simply Powder Foundation. It's a powder compact but It isn't like most powder. It is a bit thicker and stays on nicely. I would try those two things and see what you think. They are around $8 a piece I believe.

If you would prefer to stick with the concealer, that's fine too. You can use it wherever you need it. If you need it on your forehead, it's OK to use it there. Good luck! Remember less is more! Your makeup should enhance your beauty, not cover it up :)
You might want to try Physians Formula. They have colors for Light, Medium, and Dark. Their bronzers are nice and they DO carry a concealer that looks like a lipstick. You could try their powders instead of liquid makeup. Check them out.

I've only used Tesco lipsticks and think they are good, given the price.

My sister wants to know - which goes on the face first - liquid makeup, foundation, primer, or concealer?

Primer goes first. It helps keep makeup on your face. It would be pretty silly to apply it over your foundation. Foundation most likely will go next. Concealer and foundation aren't usually used together. Foundation is more for a face full of blemishes, while a concealer is used just to cover a few blemishes. A powder is applied last. It gives the final touch up to foundation. My sister wants to know - which goes on the face first - liquid makeup, foundation, primer, or concealer?
First apply a moisturizer to the face. If the skin is oily find an oil free kind. Then apply primer - I like Laura Mercier, Smashbox is good too though. I like to apply concealer before foundation because many times people apply foundation first and they layer on too much because they haven't touched up the blemishes first. If you apply concealer first to just the trouble spots(I use a brush so it doesn't go all over the surrounding areas) then you don't need to use so much foundation. But you can also apply the concealer after the foundation - whatever works for you. Foundation comes in powders, liquids, sticks, creams, and cream-to-powder. There is also tinted moisturizer that can be used instead of foundation if your sister has really nice skin already. There are four basic types of concealer. 1. For undereye circles. It has to be dense enough for dark circles, but delicate enough for the thin skin around the eyes. A light, creamy formula is best. 2. Blemishes 3. Discoloration. Need a densely pigmented concealer to thoroughly cover dark spots. Stick and pencils work great for this. 4. Redness. Try a concealer with yellow undertones. Also blue or green tinted creams can neutraliize the color of inflamed skin.

Hope this helps! My sister wants to know - which goes on the face first - liquid makeup, foundation, primer, or concealer?
First let her know that liquid makeup foundation are the same thing! hehe.

Its primer first[Thats what is called 'primer' prime means first lol]

Then its the foundation, to smooth everything out and to make her skin look even.

Then its the concealer to cover any marks or blimishes. But alot of the time after using foundation, you really dont need any concealer.

Actually, some people mix up the last two steps, some put foundation before concealer, and others put concealer before foundation. Whatevr floats her boat though.
Tell her: foundation goes on first and I'd recommend buying mineral foundation- i use it and it's amazing

What makeup (foundation, concealer, pressed/loose powder) should I use?

I am 16, and have a slightly oily T-zone. I don't usually get bad breakouts, though 2 or 3 times a year I get bad ones along my forehead and chin (little under the skin pimples). I do usually have a few zits, though. My skin is pretty much even, but a bit lighter under my eyes. I don't want my face to feel heavy or look cake-y. What combination of concealor, pressed powder, loose powder, and/or foundation would be best? Mineral makeup and concealer???????

i have really acne prone oily skin. i want to use a mineral powder make up becos they r suposed to be good for oily/acne skin. i think the full coverage foundation im using now is clogging my pores (it is oil free)..... my only problem is coverage! coverage! coverage! i have a LOT of dark spots all over my face from acne. could i use a concealer on these marks and then a mineral powder over that. is that ok/a good idea? im really concious about these dark marks showing. im using a fading cream at the moment.

p.s what concealer could i use? thankyou in advance xMineral makeup and concealer???????
Take heart.there are products designed to specifically cater to acne prone skin.If you want full coverage ,I would recommend dermablend concealors/foundations(Its pricey but can be bought cheaper on ebay) which is designed to fully cover scars and spots.

Do remember ,that mineral powders can be worn on their own,as most of them have a foundation finish, all you need to do is build it up gradually and see what coverage suits your skin. Check out this link, hope this helps http://www.dermablend.co.ukMineral makeup and concealer???????
I have the exact same problem! Lately i've been using Bare Minerals. I apply the foundation first with the kabuki brush for full coverage, then I use the concealer brush to go over the blemishes/scars. It actually works pretty well for me, and i've been surprised at how long it lasts considering I have somewhat oily skin as well. I also think it is helping a little with my acne. I'm still using an acne regimen (Murad acne kit) but with both the products my face finally looks like it is clearing up a little bit. good luck!!
I use the concealer and foundation from kms mineral essentials. I use a concealer brush to work in the concealer under my foundation wherever I need it, like over my blemishes, blotchy skin, and under eye circles. This concealer is amazing! It makes those problem areas just seem to disappear. :)
The yellowish concealer from LA minerals is really bright when you put it on. I use it under my eyes, but you can use it for any dark areas. Then I put the Hollywood mineral makeup over it. Covers really good. Bare minerals made me itch cuz of the bismuth in it.

You could try it. The samples on LA minerals website are like $1 each and they ship em free.
Try Bare Minerals ';mineral veil'; because it covers pretty well and looks better than liquid concealers. I went through a stressfull time and had an awful breakout. It was physically and emotionally painful. I started using Differin. Although it got worse at first (It brought pimples already forming to the surface), it works great.
yeah put concealer over them thats what most ppl do.. Macs the best concealer!!!!!!
I use bare minerals foundation AND bisque concealer AND mineral veil. It sounds like a lot but it only takes me 7 minutes to do a full face (I use more than just these 3 products).

Not only does it stay all day but it covers everything and evens out my tones, makes my wrinkles disappear and my pores look smaller. I LOVE BARE MINERALS and can not stop praising it!

Dont waste your money or time on Bare Escentuals/Minerals esp if you have allergy issues. Many people are alergic to the bismuth in their foundation %26amp; also the primer has been know to cause allergy issues as well.

Go to the Clinique website and do your skin report. It should recommend products specific to your needs. I know they have several oil free formula foundations. As for the talc issue, i think you would only find that in powders.

Any liquid/compact foundation and concealer should be talc free, only powder formulations will have talc. You will just need to read the ingredients, which are on the box. Bare Minerals is very gentle, you can also try Almay.

Bare Minerals. Everything else slides off my face when it's hot outside. This feels like it melts into your skin, and the foundation can also be used as concealer, so I don't have to use it seperately. It stays on all day, and I don't have to touch up.

If I don't feel like applying make-up, I just use a bit of bronzer on my cheeks, mascara, and lip balm.

How do u put concealer on and what are some must haves in a makeup bag?

You put concelear over anything you want to conceal. I.e. a pimple, if you have dark circles under your eyes etc. Then you apply foundation on top of it.

    Must haves

    concealer

    foundation

    makeup sponge

    eye shadow

    eye liner

    mascara

lip glossHow do u put concealer on and what are some must haves in a makeup bag?
For the must haves i suggest

Foundation (if you have uneven skin or acne or even some pimples)

    conclear

a pressed powder around your skin tone

    bronzer

    ehh on blush

    mascara

    eyeliner (i LOVE brown)

1 fun eye shadow that matches many things

    chap stick

    clear gloss

    VERY natural lip stain/lip stick

To apply conclear I would first wipe on foundation around the area (blend blend blend!) then dab a little amount of conclear around and use a makeup sponge to mix it in..

I would consult Bobbie Brown Teenage Beauty Book if you have more questions... very effective! How do u put concealer on and what are some must haves in a makeup bag?
concealer- instead of making the mistake most ppl do and puting concealer on the under-eye bag itself, put concealer in the crease b/t the bag and the normal area directly under it. and for zits or pimples use a sponge and cover it by patting it on-NOT smearing it on. Also make sure your pimples are moisturized *really* otherwise make-up will dry it more and make it flakey, which brings more attention to the flaw

    in a makeup bag

For home- liquid foundation and concealer, liquid eyeliner, shadows, cream blushes, and basically anything that can make a big mess if you spilled it in your purse.

For your purse-touching up stuff like pressed powder, mascara, liners, lip gloss, and chapstick!

    you should be set now!

    good luck!
First make sure your face is moisturized. concealer wont go on properly otherwise.

Choose the right shade to match your skin tone and then apply to problem areas on the skin, such as dark circles under the eyes or blemishes on the face.

Make sure to rub the concealer in well to avoid cakeyness.

And must have's in the makeup bag are eyeliner, concealer and face powder!

    Hope this helps

Makeup...Should I use my concealer after the foundation, or before? Does it even matters?

Why is MAC'S products labeled, ';Fix'; or ';Finish';?Makeup...Should I use my concealer after the foundation, or before? Does it even matters?
if you are using only pressed powder foundation, and not a liquid foundation, you need to put on your concealer first. powder of any skin should always be your very last step.

if you are using a liquid foundation, you can do concealer before or after, or both for more coverage.Makeup...Should I use my concealer after the foundation, or before? Does it even matters?
Pressed powder foundation has more oil in it so I wouldn't recommend it unless your skin is dryish. I use liquid foundation, then a tiny bit of concealer, then set it all with loose powder.
I don't know about MAC, but finish is the last thing put on and fix is to fix some trouble area, I think.

I would use foundation first because your are rubbing it all over your face, while foundation is just for specific areas, so it just makes sense (to me) to put the foundation on first.
You should always put concealer on top of your foundation. If you put foundation over a concealer, you just rub it off or cover it up. Concealer should be a shade lighter than your foundation.
    Step one: moisturize.

    Step two: foundation. Blend..blend..blend.

Step three: concealer. don't apply too much beacuse it will look really heavy.

Step four: set with powder. I would suggest using a powder brush if useing pressed powder. It helps blend it all together.
