Makeup Foundation and Concealer applicaiton?

What are the pros and cons of using a sponge versus using your fingers to apply foundation or concealer? I heard twice this week that using one's fingers is not correct. Is there a right or wrong way? I prefer professional artists or experienced people who know what they are talking about to answer my question. ThanksMakeup Foundation and Concealer applicaiton?
Makeup artists usually use a sponge for sanitary reasons, however it is perfectly fine to use your fingers as long as they are clean. There is no wrong way to apply it, as long as it is the appropriate shade, is evenly applied and blended. In my experience applying concealer with a brush is good if you want to put it on thicker (over a blemish, etc.) and then blend around with your finger. I do not think it goes on nicely underneath the eyes when applied with a brush or sponge.Makeup Foundation and Concealer applicaiton?

I always use my fingers to apply my foundation. When you use a liquid apply on the back of the hand and rub it to warm the foundation, which brings out the color. You can apply it either way really. I just find that using your fingers gives you more control and a better overall look! :)
I personally use a sponge for foundation. A finger (ring finger)and or brush for concealer.

I typically refrain from using fingers cause they have oil on them and that just more gunk I am wiping on my face that will break down later. The smaller concealer brushes are nice to use.
I rather BRUSHES, fingers r 10 icky germs and sponges r thirsty they soak up all your foundation!
I'm a model, and the number one rule for us is to never touch your face. the oil from your fingers gets into your pores and clogs them. also, the sponge allows you to use less makeup and gives you more even coverage. the best way to apply is put your concealer on the spots you want to hide, but don't rub it in. use your sponge with foundation to blend the concealer and foundation at the same time.
I think sponges tend to give more even coverage, and there's less chance for streaks with sponges.
You are supposed to use an applicator for sanitation purposes. You also get even coverage. I prefer brushes.

What type of concealer or makeup/hairstyles would suit me?

I'm 13 so I don't want a fake look. I want to learn what type of color products should me that would match my skintone and what hair styles would fit my face shape (which...I don't even know what it is, which is why the pictures would really help)

hmm the link doesn't work for me, it just takes me to my facebook home :S

What should i put on first concealer then makeup? or makeup then concealer?

i got alot of pimple scars on my nose and its really red. i use a body shop concealer and i dont kno what to use first. and sometimes during the day you would notice my nose really shiny and caked. what should i do? i want to make it look natural for one whole day. oh yea btw i use bare minerals makeup as well. What should i put on first concealer then makeup? or makeup then concealer?
bare minerals may be your problem. i hear people have a lot of problems with it caking. you should put concealer on first, then foundation/powder..so it blends better. but try some other make ups..there are other mineral make ups that have way better reviews than bare minerals. What should i put on first concealer then makeup? or makeup then concealer?
There is no right or wrong rule. You need to do what works for you. I use kms mineral essentials. I love the way it covers and I don't always need to use my concealer! Your problem may be bare minerals as unfortunately it contains bismuth which is an ingredient that causes a lot of irritation for some people.

I am using kms mineral essentials. I love the way it makes my complexion look. It covers my imperfections very well and it lasts all day. I keep a busy schedule, and it still looks fresh after 12 hours. They have their own website, and I think they are selling some of their products on ebay too. I find that I get a ton more makeup for what I pay. Can't beat that either.

Good luck to you. Please email me if you have any further questions about kms.
If u want to read something about bare mineral makeup .

i just accross this blog which may help you

http://baremineral-makeup.blogspot.com
You should put concealer on first, then blend foundation over it so it looks more natural. Try blotting your nose during the day with oil-blotting papers (like the Clean %26amp; Clear ones) to fix shine. You could also try using a primer underneath your makeup, or putting a light dusting of powder over your foundation on your nose.

Hope that helps. :]
Foundation (makeup) first, concealer second
first off, bare minerals has some harsh products in it, even though they advertise it doesn't.

I STRONGLY suggest getting Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer. it controls shine all day while still moisturizing. it's great for combination skin, which you have. use a concealer first, then apply your foundation over the concealer and foundation primer.

i suggest maybe a cream or liquid foundation,

cargo liquid foundation applies like liquid then dries very soft and velvetly and still looks natural and your skin looks great.
Concealer on first, so you don't go overboard with foundation. Foundation is meant to be a thin layer, then powder for finish so makeup will last.
the bare minerals crap might be your problem. i've heard stuff about it thats not very positive.

try using Aveda stuff, i use it and its amazing!

and use the concealer first, always. then apply blush...and whatever else u use. but dont use too much makeup, that could also be where the cakey-ness comes is.

well...i hope i could help : )

Question about concealer/face makeup?

I got a giftcard to Walmart for Christmas, and I couldn't really think of much to buy with it (it's $150), so I'd figure I'd try out face makeup with the left over money. I'm a little ignorant when it comes to makeup, so I need some help. :P I have freckles, and I don't mind them for the most part, but there's this one that I just hate...haha. It's like 3 of them put together, and I want to cover it up. ha. How would I go about doing that? What's the best brand to buy (at Walmart), and what do I need? The powdery kind? The matte? Liquid?

If it matters, I have a similar skintone to this:

http://ferenc.biz/pictures/portrait-beau鈥?/a>Question about concealer/face makeup?
hm, its really tough to cover up birthmarks that your born with. trust me, i know EXACTLY how you feel, as i have tried to cover my birthmark too even though its not that bad. but you still want to. i would suggest some THICK liquid makeup like studio fix from MAC or since your buying something from wal-mart, it might be a little harder to find some good foundation, but the thickest one ive ever tried was revlon colorstay liquid foundation. hope some of this helps?... :) By the way, i PERSONALLY think freckles are cute, and ive always sort of wanted them. so i think your lucky. :) theyre cute no worries. :)Question about concealer/face makeup?
i use kirkland cover up...

my skin tone is close to the picture's

but i don't have that many freckles

hope it helps
Really you have to look at the individual brands.

Whether it's matte, powdery, or liquid is your preference. :]

Mineral powders still on top of your skin and don't clog pores.

Matte keeps skin looking dewy, good for people with oily skin.

Liquid...I think it's just easy to blend!

I use mineral liquid because it's light, doesn't clog pores, and is easy to blend. Mine is Physician's Formula. Good stuff!

Back to your freckle issue. It's a hassle, but really I think you just need to go to the store and test out each coverage and see if it will cover your freckle. If you have good skin, I suggest getting a concealer with whatever level coverage that works and then maybe getting a tinted mosturizer to put over your face.

Good luck!

  • When I apply makeup to my face (concealer/foundation) it looks flakey and uneven, HELP!?

i can't apply makeup without it looking clumpy, uneven, blotchy, i can't even get it to cover up the areas i want it to cover (like blemishes and acne!) AHHH! HELP PLEASE!!When I apply makeup to my face (concealer/foundation) it looks flakey and uneven, HELP!?
The best thing to do is not use liquid face make up. For one, they clog your pores and cause the acne you want to cover up. If you do need to cover acne, i recommend you use concealer a skin tone lighter than your own. Then i think you should use face powder. If your looking for a bronzer, i recommend Hoola by Benefit, available at sephora for 28 dollars. If you just want to even out skin tones, i recommend Mac face powder. I hope i have helped you, and if you need anything else, email me at laurenhasspoken@yahoo.com and tell me your from the yahoo blog. When I apply makeup to my face (concealer/foundation) it looks flakey and uneven, HELP!?
exfoliate your face for the flakes and for the acne and blemishes, dab concealer on it first
foundation needs proper application..see some applying tips

    http://www.beauty-basics.net/makeup/appl鈥?/a>
Lauren, it sounds to me like your skin care is lacking. Get rid of your imperfections (blemishes/acne) don't try to cover them! Next, choose a foundation that closely matches your natural skin tone - you shouldn't have to use very much. I like aularale.com/7002. Choose the skin care for your skin type (normal/dry or oily). Use it faithfully morning and night and include the vitamin c serum before moisturizing. Your skin will shape up in no time. Of course your diet must also be a good one - fresh fruits/veggies and lots of water must be consumed. Good skin comes from the inside out.
use a lotion or primer before you put on your concealer/foundation so you get more even coverage and also try using one of those green concealer sticks that are made for covering redness and then just use your foundation over it :)
it sounds like you are using something too dry for your face... look for one with moisturizers... and sunscreen.. go one shade darker than your complexion (and use cover stick first for any problem areas).. avoid powder unless you must - that can cause flakes too. Oh, and always, make sure you bring it down, to your neck area just a little so there is no line at the base of your face.
I feel you! Same problems... forever. Doesn't matter how many treatments I buy or books I read. However -- I've learned to work with acne (and lessen it to a great extent) and look nice with makeup on:

    1. I think exfoliants are bad... especially on acne. It only seems to make the acne sores/areas worse. Use only every once in a while if you feel like you really need it.

    2. Make sure that before you apply makeup that you've washed your face (I like Neutrogena Deep Cleanser [cream]) and applied moisturizer. I like to use Neutrogena's Acne Moisturizer because it includes a small amount of salicylic acid which helps fight acne all day.

    3. Use a liquid foundation, not a concealer/foundation combo. I do this because it makes it a lot easier to blend the acne areas with the non-acne areas.

    4. Personally, I love CG Smoothers (cover girl) ';All day hydrating make--up';. They have many colors to choose from and it's easy to apply and blend (I use well-washed finger tips) and it doesn't clog pores.

    5. Powders are bad for flaky skin. But, because I love the extra shimmer they offer I use a bronzer (specifically, TruBlend by Cover Girl). I use it after apply foundation and through the day to freshen makeup and reduce shine but it also creates a subdued sparkle. I like it, maybe you don't. I would recommend carrying some sort of light powder which can absorb oil as you apply it during the day as needed.

    6. You may have to find your own tricks through trial and error, but with these few items I've lessened my acne and made what little exists much less noticable with my makeup on.
Make sure that you have exfoliated (i.e., removed all dead skin cells with a gentle scrub, AHA product, or any good cleanser) the night before. In the morning, wash your face and apply your foundation/concealer to clean skin or apply a primer before your concealer. TIPS: make sure your not applying too much, start with a little, use a brush or wet sponge to assist you with your application. It is important to pick the right color and a water-based formulation if acne is a concern--%26gt; try a cream-to-powder foundation --%26gt; they are easy to apply for beginners....
Neutrogena sells an at home microdermabrasion kit for around $30.00. It removes dead skin cells and rejuvenates skin making it glow. I have read reviews and it appears to do the trick. Good luck.
First of all make sure you skin is clean and dry.

Then make sure it is moisturized.

Then put concelor on your problem spots.

Then its time for your foundation. If you are having

problems with blotches, and uneven coverage, use

a bigger applicator. Like loose powder with a round

    pad it comes with.

there are some drugstore (ie. cheaper) brands that sell white concealer- max factor comes to mind. nyx sells a variety of colors for cheaply (like $5), but i don't recall if they have white or just very pale. if you want professional makeup, you could check out somewhere like kryolan, but that probably isn't necessary.I've seen makeup artists use a white paste-like concealer for undereyes?
I haven't really seem make up artists use any pastey white concealer when they did my make up on several occasions. I use a revlon concealer and it really brightens undereye
I've seen that on tv too.. well on that drag race show..

it makes their faces look amazing eh! but its pretty noticable too .. i would just stick with a lighter colour instead of using white because it can be noticeable in pictures and stuff.

So i'm curious - concealer only for daily makeup?

does anyone actually use just the concealer and nothing else for their usual makeup? as in, you dab on some concealer at required spots and you're set for the day.So i'm curious - concealer only for daily makeup?
Yes, , like 60% of school teachers wear nothing but concealer , so its really normal ,, but really its not that good ..

    I wouldn't advice for a too-over makeup , coz i hate it ..

So like , concealer , blusher , eyeliner/eye shadow / lip gloss , and that's it ,,, it claims to be just the basics for everyday makeupSo i'm curious - concealer only for daily makeup?
Yeah, I'm sure some people do. But you can add more and still have a very natural look. I would suggest concealer to even out skin tone, a light coat of mascara to lengthen the lashes, a bit of a very light shimmery powder under the brow to highlight the eye, and some sort of lip moisturizer. This is a very natural look. Good luck. :)
I wouldnt say ONLY concealer as i love love love blusher, but i just use concealer under my eyes and on any little imperfections i see and then dont bother with foundation.

I figure why clog my pores with a layer of foundation if i dont have to!

Then i just pop on some blusher, curl my eyelashes and add a coat of mascara, lip balm for the kissers and im off! :)

  • Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?

Is this too much to wear if it's applied nicely, and very well?

Illuminater is a complexion enhancer that gives you a natural glow.

Opinions?Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?
light liquid foundation first just to even out your skin tone,

then concealer so the foundation doesn't rub it off....... then light powder to blend it with big brush.... then lightly brush on bronzer/blush ..... light eye color on top of brow and eyelid.... in crease do a darker color that brings out the color of your eyes..... a lil eye liner and blackest black for your lashes and you are ready girl!Liquid foundation, powder, under eye concealer, blush, spray tan, illuminater, and eye makeup?
Try to use a Foundation that has a powder finish. A eye cream at night to reduce the dark spots under your eyes, that way you don't need the concealer. A spray tan that includes the illumination. and the eye makeup... that way you won't have some many different products and it will cut the price.

E-mail me if you want some great ideas.
I think you should take out either the blush or spray tan, since you have the illuminater to give you a natural glow.

But you can wear whatever you want, and if you apply small amounts of each, it should look fine :)

but if I wore that, I think it would make me look cakey...
    a pic would help.

if it is very clear that you do this. then stop. but if we cant tell then youre okayy.
i say take away the spray tan.. you should be fine if its minimal
    TOO MUCH.
    thats what i wear lol
do not put on too much. if you use it correctly and lightly it will look great!
sounds heavy but if you know what your doing

Liquid makeup be used like a concealer?

can revlon ';new complexion'; liquid makeup hide dark lines under your eyes??Liquid makeup be used like a concealer?
Yup, but it'll be a little harder to put on because of the sticky consistency. I would recommend the Covergirl pressed powder. I have some, it works great and smells heavenly!Liquid makeup be used like a concealer?
It will diminish the appearance of undereye circles, but not obliterate them (which isn't what you want, anyway). Concealer is usually a thicker texture than foundation and is for use in small areas only. Foundation is meant to be used to just even out your skin tone where it needs it, although most people just cover their whole face because it's easier.

You could use a concealer brush for more concentrated application of liquid foundation under your eyes - just go easy. Too much product will just get cakey.
sometimes. if it is too dark than probaly not but it can help minimize the darkness. Try putting a light concelar on and blending it with your liquid foundation. tahts what i do. then brush on some bronze powder to cover shinyness.

nope...liquid concealers are for minimal details. dark under eye circles need thicker coverage....like covergirl waterproof concealer sticks...works wonders! hope i could help!

    xoxoxox
yeah i guess it could work...just get it in 2 or 1 shade lighter then you're nautral skin color so it conceals better
yes, but subtly, therefore not completely.
    yes :)

    Makeup-Concealer help PLEASE?!?!?!?!?

Ok so when i use concealer around my nose, it always accumulates around my pores, flakes off, settles into the crevices of the sides of my nose and smile lines, some of it rubs off, it dries up (which is how it flakes) , and it just overall looks nasty! And this all happens just within an hour after applying it! What I use is:::

Physician's Formula Concealer 101 Perfecting Concealer Duo

I use the green side only because I have lots of redness around my nose

And on top of the green, I use Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer

    http://well.ca/images/large/products/may鈥?/a>

What I do is i first put on sunscreen lotion, then I apply MAC Prep + Prime on my face so that could make the makeup last longer, then the physician's formula concealer, then the maybelline concealer. After that I set it with powder. But even with the primer and the powder, the concealer still doesn't stay smooth. It just starts to gather around my pores, accentuating them! HERE are pictures of the horrible makeup on my nose:::

    http://-amazing-amanda-.piczo.com/yahoo!鈥?/a>

So do you recommend any good (preferribly affordable) concealers that will NOT result like this? What I want is a smooth, even-toned appearance to my face (but mostly my nose) using concealer. Thank you so very much for your help!!!!!!

PS: Some suggestions I heard before were to use a stippling brush to apply product on the face, which supposedly minimizes the look of pores. Another thing I heard is to use a type of foundation which can be used as a concealer called 'BB Cream'. What do you think of these suggestions? THANKS! And sooooo sorry that this question is so long!Makeup-Concealer help PLEASE?!?!?!?!?
Well...guess the first answerer didn't check your links. One is a cream, the other a liquid. That's the problem! It's sliding off.

You are using wayyyy too much stuff! You have pretty nice skin it looks like to me, cept for the nose redness.

OK...I have REALLY large pores too and I use a greenish mineral powder concealer all over my face/spots, skin colored down the middle of my nose to make it look thinner, oh and a yellowish one under eyes for dark circles. (all of them are mineral powder concealers) Don't freak out and think ';well how could a powder stick?'; The mineral concealer is made with ';sticky'; type minerals that adhere REALLY well. Like I tried it on my arm at first and couldn't hardly wash it off!!!

Anways...I get mine from LA Minerals, and I wear their Hollywood foundation or the Valley Girl one, depending on what look I want. I use the veil over it sometimes.

You can get samples of all the concealers I mentioned for like $2 each and they ship em free. The samples will last you like FOREVER, cuz a little goes a really long way.

Use a concealer brush or your finger tip to apply. Brush works best though cuz you can apply more evenly.

Sorry for such a long drawn out answer :)

Hope it helps. It's really the best concealer I've ever used and trust me I've used a lot of em!

    use a spray on foundation.

this type of foundation has an airbrushed effect which covers any type of blemish, pimples and wrinkles.

i know that you can buy it from alot of places and sephora sells it for about $34.00 but if you look around im sure you will be able to find one below that price

    xx hope this helps!
I use Tea Tree Oil Concealer from The Body Shop. It's around $12, so it's not expensive.
Leave it completely for like a week or so and see if it has got better- or worse.

The more likely thing is that it has got BETTER because you haven't used anything on it..

    Let it heal naturally.

However, if it has got worse or stayed the same, try a darker foundation around that spot and around your cheeks and get yourself a natural tan [It's cold weather so I have no idea how! XD] and it will hide it hopefully.

    OR:

Try lemon juice on it- it will hurt so if you're ready to take the risk, try it.
Go to the mall and try out different make up counters. Doesn't have to be on the same day. They will give you free make up sessions in hope you will buy their products. After they are done with your make up ask for a free sample of the concealer so you can try it at home to see if it actually works for you. This way you can see what works best for you and use your money wisely. Remember a light dusting of face powder will set the make up and keep it in place longer. Try Bobbi Brown make up.... I think they have a nice product line. Good Luck!!!

Keep turning it, slooowly. You will likely receive an excess of product when it finally comes out. It's usually how ';twist-click'; packaging works, unfortunately :/
I hate that product! You have to click about 100 times before it comes to the surface - annoying!

Non-comedogentic makeup? Pressed powder/concealer? or makeup brands?

Ok so my dermantologist told me that i should be using non- comedogentic (soorry im not exactly sure how to spell it) makeup. Are there any drugstore brands that are non- comedogentic? My skin is very sensitive and breaks out easily, and will get red. Are there any type of makeup brands that you think is good? I really need a good pressed power or concealer.. please help!?!?Non-comedogentic makeup? Pressed powder/concealer? or makeup brands?
ermm...im not sure...ask jeevesNon-comedogentic makeup? Pressed powder/concealer? or makeup brands?
Yikes , sensitive skin can be tough but yes , drugstores sell some non comedogenic things . This isn't exactly make up , but it's a great moisturizer with SPF , so it is a good prep for make up . It's Aveeno Positively Radiant lotion . It makes your skin glow (: A good foundation and powder are Maybelline Purestay Powder %26amp; Foundation SPF 15 . It's non comedogenic and dermatologist tested .

    Hope I helped , good luck !

    Natural makeup concealer ?

is there a natural concealer product out there to hide my allergic shiners AKA under eye circles?

Natural=free of: aluminum, talc, dyes, fragrance, parabens, and propylene glycol.Natural makeup concealer ?
Mineral makeup is natural if you want to go that route. Bare Mineral's is the best high-end brand. Everyday Minerals is the best low-cost brand. You can get a free sample of Everyday Minerals on everydayminerals.com.

For my concealer I use Vincent Longo. (Shhh, here's a secret. Bath %26amp; Body works is going to have a HUGE Vincent Longo sale that's going to be at least 75% off in January 2009! Flagship stores only, though.)

I have extremely fair and sensitive skin and nothing in it irritates me. I would highly recommend it. You can get a free sample at Sephora.com (if you buy a certain amount and I think you get like 5 free samples.)

I just looked up the ingredients of the Vincent Longo concealer. There is talc in it. :( But, again, I use it and have amazing results.

Octyl Palmitate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Castor Oil, Magnesium Carbonate, Talc, Oxodertiate, Wax, Beeswax, Octyldodecannol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Aloe Vera Extract, Proplyparaben, BHT. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Mica.

Oh, and I was also looking up more options for you (sorry, but I just love helping people and talking about makeup!) I found this Physicians Formula concealer. It's called

';Mineral Wear鈩?Talc-Free Mineral Cream Concealer.'; The price is only $6.95 (Vincent Longo is a high-end brand and costs $26 dollars retail.)Natural makeup concealer ?

For your under eyes, pick a concealer that's about 2-3 shades lighter than your normal foundation shade. I prefer to put concealer on AFTER I have applied foundation so I know how much coverage I actually need.Under eye makeup, concealer?

Actually, I am a Mary Kay senior consultant and I can tell you first hand that we make a great easy to use highlighting pen for those dark circles at a reasonable price. Our product lasts longer then others because you need so little of it. It is really a great product. I have done many makeovers to where the women with the dark circles was so suprised at the turn out that they switched to Mary Kay after using such products such as Estee Lauder and Loreal. I having been using moisturizer since i was in my early 20's and i am fortunate that it shows well in that i have taken care of my face. i look about 10+ yrs younger. I started out using oil of Olay, but with all of the changes and improvements in medications, the best stuff you can use is a sun block lotion with parsol in it. I use facial washes, cleaners, and special moisturizers, especially the spf 50 sun block with parsol.

What is a good use for crappy makeup so you don't waste it? For example cakey concealer and clumpy mascara.?

There's always (well nearly) something you can do to save your makeup:

*For cakey concealer I would recommend using moisturizer just before applying your concealer, this will help it go on more evenly. Also try to use small amounts to make it look nicer.

*From personal experience clumpy mascara can be saved. What I do is buy a clear mascara (or a primer mascara, mine is a really cheap drugstore brand) then apply a coat of the clear mascara before applying the clumpy mascara, first of all this helps your lashes to be wet so the the brush can slide through, and this method means that my clumpier mascaras are actually BETTER than some of my more expensive ones. If you have a lash brush, or a clean mascara brush then brush that through your lashes to comb out any clumps. And if you're mascara is still clumpy add a few drops of water to it.What is a good use for crappy makeup so you don't waste it? For example cakey concealer and clumpy mascara.?
Where did you buy it from? I know at MAC and Sephora you can return it if it's open. If it's drugstore, I think you may be out of luck (which is why I never buy from drugstore).

But, you can probably use the mascara as eyeliner.

For the cakey concealer, try to thin it out using a little water and see if it would be as cakey. What is a good use for crappy makeup so you don't waste it? For example cakey concealer and clumpy mascara.?

I use exclusively, Coonobabe (made in USA)

This brand first read of them in ELLE, celebs like Mylie, Emma Watson and Shakira use it. Coonobabe is a South Beach themed brand. So I can understand why Shakira uses it, she lives there.

Plus they ship 4 free to my door regardless of order size

    Makeup: Concealer issues?

Is there any type of undereye concealer that will not accentuate creases or fine lines? I in my thirties and just have a few very fine lines under my eyes but any concealer I use tends to show little creases.Makeup: Concealer issues?
Are you using a primer? If not, I suggest buy one and try it with your consealer again.Makeup: Concealer issues?
Cliniques All About Eyes actually makes the lines look better! I love that concealer, it comes in a tube and lasts forever.
There's a really nice under-eye concealer by Vichy that seems to work wonders. Give it a try.
I use an all natural mineral foundation and concealer. Because it is mineral powder and not talc, it does not settle into fine lines. :) It covers wonderfully! I have dark under eye circles. The foundation also gives me a flawless finish. I am in my forties and no one guesses my age. :) How great is that?
    This is what I do:

I take a bit of under-eye cream and lightly add a bit of concealer colour to it. When I apply it, it kind of soaks in. it needs to be really liquidy, though, otherwise it cakes.
I have had the same problem. I use MAC concealer that comes in a little tub. It works amazingly well! It is thicker than normal concealer so it stays in place, and doesn't travel into the creases over time.
    Your gunna love this concealer!

The YSL one is great, you can buy it in Nordstrom, or on the Yves Saint Laurent website, ysl.com chanel also works wonders, (and they both come in gorgeous tubes!!!) If that's out of your price range, try Gentle Cover Creme Concealer by Physicians Formula, avaible at ulta.comMakeup concealer question?
It might cost a bit more than the average Loreal or Maybelline, but I've found that the best concealer that doesn't show any redness through it is Mac Studio Stick Concealer.
Use Physicians Formula mineral makeup. There are NO harmful ingredients in their cosmetics that will cause you to break out.

I've used it %26amp; my younger sisters use it %26amp; we love it. It offers great coverage too.

The best thing is its not expensive %26amp; its sold in Drug stores %26amp; stores like Target %26amp; WalMart. Check PF webpage first %26amp; you can see what they sell %26amp; read about the ingredients too.

Depends on your own skin. Some brands that say non comedogenic may still make some people break out, while others will see no breakouts. It's all about trial and error, and can even be a simple matter of an ingredient in the concealers.
Bee Luscious Cosmetics liquid minerals its the best ever.

The best concealer I've ever used is by Smashbox. It covers great, but is also good for your skin because of the added vitamins in the product. Here's the concealer I'm talking about.

    http://www.smashbox.com/CAMERA-READY-FUL鈥?/a>

A trick that is great for covering up acne, is to use a green concealer. Most acne is red, the opposite color of red is green. When you apply green to the red areas, the combined color is going to make a neutral, or brown. With the right green concealer, you will be able to contrast your red marks into a natural skin tone. You will need a concealer brush to do this properly, but it will be so worth it. Just dab on your green concealer, then GENTLY go over it with a bit of foundation, with a powder to set the makeup. Here's a great green concealer by studio gear.

This video is also a pretty decent one for showing how to apply the concealer, just remember you will be doing this to your acne, not your eyes.

Is it okay to use eye makeup remover lancome to remove concealer ?

PLEEEASE TELL MEIs it okay to use eye makeup remover lancome to remove concealer ?
Don't believe who ever is telling you to use face soap. You should NEVER, NEVER, EVER use anything else other than eye makeup remover for your eyes. That area is very delicate and you only want to use products especially made for it.

For the rest of your face, use a cleanser and moisturizer that's for your skin type.

    TimeWise庐 3-In-1 Cleanser (Combination/Oily)

This combination to oily formula washes away excess oil with a lathering cleanser that leaves skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and balanced. It cleanses, exfoliates and freshens in one step as it begins the process to reveal younger-looking skin. Plus, it's gentle enough to use twice a day for soft, smooth and refreshed skin.

http://www.marykay.com/eligarcia/skincar鈥?/a>Is it okay to use eye makeup remover lancome to remove concealer ?
Yes, it will work. I have a Lancome Eye make-up remover and it gently removes all my eye make up and the rest of my make up. It is like any other make up remover, but made differently to go softer on your eyes, so it doesnt irritate, or hurt if you get it in your eye.
your face wash will take it off just fine. their eye makeup remover is a little too oily to use on your skin without washing it off... but your cleanser is meant to take off makeup anyway so you'll be fine.
no u dont use eye makeup remover...use face soap to remove yor concealer

or use make remover wipes to remove concealer
yes. eye makeup remover is just a gentle version of makeup remover, made so it won't irritate your eye.
i reccomend you dont because there is oil in eyemakeup remover which can lead to skin problems

What is better, clinique, Mary Kay, or Bare Escentuals for makeup foundation and concealer?

    Bare Escentuals.

After a while, make-up begins to mess up your skin, clog your pores, and whatnot.

Bare Escentuals won't because it's more gentle on skin and made from natural minerals.

The only downside is Bare Escentuals is more translucent than normal make-up.What is better, clinique, Mary Kay, or Bare Escentuals for makeup foundation and concealer?
clinique by far it is a very clean and blended make up mary kay is the equivalant of jane and bare escentuals is a tv brand and there is a reason why you cant get it in stores no one would buy it after they used it once it has infomercial allureWhat is better, clinique, Mary Kay, or Bare Escentuals for makeup foundation and concealer?
    Bare Escentuals, hands down.
bare essentials. it works and gives ur skin a natural but evenly darker skin tone.clinique and maryk r ok but bare essentials gives more detail and offers more quality. it isnt tested on animals so u can sleep at nite noing ur not rele supporting it. bare essentials not only evens ur skintone but makes iu skintone glow. it gives u a natural sheer look. i suggest this product
Those three are OK. They all are very similar in quality. Just a tad better than the drug store brands (not much better though). I prefer these brands; Bee-Luscious Cosmetics, Chanel and Dior. Pretty much in that order.
I have never tried the other 2 feel in love with Mary Kay and now sell it so I'm bias. I have been told our dual coverage powder is very similar to Bare Essentials.

Don't know about the other 2 but Mary Kay is try before you buy with 100% guarentee so can't lose to try it.
Bare E. is GREAT! The Bare Minerals stuff makes my skin look flawless and smooth. I never feel like I actually have anything on. I would choose that, but if you want something less pricy I would def. go with Clinique it is also wonderful. Hope it helps! :]
I'm also a MK consultant and I prefer Mary Kay over a lot of other brands due to personal experience. You can contact any MK consultant for a free consultation. They'll match your skin tone with the right foundation and we'll advise which concealor to use.

The trick with MK concealor is that you use a tiny dab (speck) for the area you need. Some people use way too much and that's why it's recommended to use a very tiny amount. Concealor is meant to be used with your foundation, never alone.

A lot of people like to dib and dab in different products for the look they want but in all reality, you should stick to one product for all your skin care needs.

    Mary Kay is designed to flow with all other MK products. If you use the foundation but yet you use another brand on your face for cleaning and moisturizing, you'll find the products will not flow and will actually fight on your face, leaving you with the impression ';I broke out';, ';I'm allergic';, etc. You can damage your skin to the point where you are ';very sensitive skin.';

It's best recommended that you find a brand and start with their cleanser, moisturizer, foundation, and color cosmetics and see how that works. I don't recommend mixing brands.
I'd have to say Mary Kay... a little goes a long way and it works great!!
    BARE ECENTUALS
I luv mac because it offers more coverage.
Bare Essentials!! my sister uses it and it's so flawless!
Personally, Bare Escentuals- I have very sensitive skin and I have not had major breakouts since using it!!! Wooohooo. It looks flawless (with some practice) and I get complements on my skin....never never had that before I used the stuff!!
PERSONALLY CLINIQUE WAS SO HARD ON MY SKIN. I USUALLY HAVE CLEAR SKIN, THE OCCASIONAL PIMPLE. BUT I COMPLETLY BROKE OUT! MARY KAY DIDN'T COVER AS WELL WITH OUT LOOKING SHINEY. I HAVE NEVER TRIED BARE ESCENTUALS, BUT I LOVE MAC. IT CAN LOOK NATURAL, OR DRAMATIC ACCORDING TO YOUR APPLICATION.
Bare Escentuals is fabulous! I LOVE it!!

Skin concealer is to cover up those little spots (ie black eye circles, blemishes). Dab a little on the spots you want to cover with your ring finger ( it is the most gentle finger). Then apply cover up to your face with a sponge. Then to set the mak-up brush on facial powder or bronzer. Then do as you wish...blush, then eye liner, eye shadow, and mascara to finish. But as for the color...If tawny is too dark, use soft honey by Covergirl. This shade comes in concealer, cover up and facial powder. And you can find it anywhere for cheap...$5 for powder, $7 cover up, and depending on how much concealer or how you apply it, you can find it for $8.Makeup concealer? please answer?

No I dont wear any makeup. Instead I cover up with a water proof sunscreen every where ~~ from my ears to top of my feet.

And I wear a sun visor %26amp; sunglasses so no one can see my eyes.

A little sun on your face adds all the color you will need.

Most of the water proof makeup I've used doesnt survive a day at the beach or pool.Do you wear makeup(concealer, foundation, ect.) while going swimming?
If you know you're going swimming that day, just don't put any on.

    That's what I do.

If you're already wearing it that day, and you suddenly decide to swim, it won't hurt to wear any type of concealer or foundation in the water.

Eyeliner and mascara WILL run, especially if not waterproof.

All my make-up just comes off when I get into the water.Do you wear makeup(concealer, foundation, ect.) while going swimming?
Only if i have it on from earlier in the day but if i dont have any on before i go then no i dont put it on just to go swimming.
yeh...duno why tho, cos it always comes off aha ;P ...i guess its jst cos im abit self-concious about hw i look!...but i wear water-proof mascara instead!

I wouldn't because sometimes the makeup looks really blotchy but sometimes i just wear waterproof mascara.
Try the powder foundations - like Bare Minerals or the drugstore versions of them. That way if they wash of your face, it is not blotchy. I wear make-up every where I go - even the gym!
nope! whats the point? it will wash off anyway!

plus while swimming/ in the summer, its nice to not wear makeup!

it shows your natural beauty which is what summer is about!
If u really want your face to be better, Don't go swimming with foundation on ur face at all. i learned the hard way. Get more pimples and ur face will tighten up.
i don't wear foundation to begin with but it will probably look blotchy cause it comes of in some places but not others...
no because waterproof or not, it always smears for me.
no only if im already wearing it. but it ends up smearing water proof or not
yea but i know it's going to be washed off as soon as i step into the water

How do you use mineral makeup concealers?

I just bought the bare escentuals makeup, and i love it. But I haven't used the concealer yet. When the lady at the counter did it for me, she wet the concealer brush and put on the concealer. Im not sure if this was on purpose though, because she cleaned the brush (which is why it was wet)...so, when I do the concealer, can I use it went, or should I just do it dry?? I'm not sure how i'm supposed to use it.

10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER! THANKS!How do you use mineral makeup concealers?
First off get a good concealer brush if you don't already have one. You can apply the concealer wet or dry depending on your preferences.

Applying wet can create better coverage than dry can, for some people. All you have to do to use it wet is to get a spray bottle with water and spray your brush lightly or dampen it in the sink. Then swirl your brush in the makeup and apply in light strokes to any imperfections!

You can also apply the concealer dry in the same manner.

It's important to use a small amount and build up because it goes a long way! Also, from what I've heard, most people like to use concealer on top of the mineral foundation!

Good Luck! How do you use mineral makeup concealers?
yeah... i dunno what concealers r.
She just did it for cleaning the concealer brush because you don't have to wet actually any concealer brush because thats how you do it.

Just glide the brush don't use too much though on you dark circles and with your fingers blend it in. If you use foundation use it first before you put on the concealer though!

Hope this helps you a bit.

Now go give me my 10 points.

    :)
I use Sheer Cover and its basically the same thing as Bare Escentuals

I use my concealer dry and i put it on after mosturizer~ I only use it on really bad spots and underneath my eyes ~

    Good luck~

edit*: i use a dry BrUSh! lol and this quaility of makeup should come wiht nicee brushes.
    Hi,

You dampen your concealer brush, dip in the powder and apply in light dabs to the area. To set it you can apply a light cover of setting powder or foundation over the top. If you find the powder a bit hard as I did, try chimare mineral makeup, they make a mineral cream concealer and its awesome- so easy to apply.
According to my googling/research, Lauren is right. I agree with her.

    Makeup Concealer Problems?

I have very fair skin but it is not white. On my face, red blotches appear a lot especially on my nose when i get embarrassed or play sport and sometimes my whole face goes red. I was wondering if anyone could suggest any makeup to wear that would conceal my red face?Makeup Concealer Problems?
I have the exact same problem! I'm not sure where you're from and if you have the same make up where you are however,

    - Body Shop Tea Tree Cover Stick works well for blemishes

    - YSL Radiant Touch is great for shadows under your eyes but I often use a little on my nose too

but the BEST by far for battling with red splotches is Mary Kay Concealer, but it is actually green. Its purpose is to counteract the redness in your face (you only need to use a little bit of it) and you then cover with your normal foundation.

I guarantee it will hide much redness.

Another suggestion as well is remember to breathe slowly and deeply when playing sport (don't hold your breath) and drink plenty of water.Makeup Concealer Problems?
try a yellow concealer, I find this the best for taking away red blotches on my face, use it under your normal foundation. Most people think that green concealer is better - but it's not, yellow is the best for taming redness on the face. Try natuaral Compatibles anti-red

    http://www.naturalcompatibles.com.au/

I use this product on all of my wedding and special occassion make-ups and also everyday on my own red blotches, it is fantastic!

I used to use the Mary Kay green concealer, but it is nowhere near as good.
I have the exact same problem!

I go red over anything. It's so annoying.

I use the foundations that adjust to your natural skin tone. Usually I just apply it before college and sometimes during the day but it lasts ages and works really well.

I also have dry skin so I moisturise and use liquid foundation.

I've heard Max Factor are good for this kind of foundation. I can't remember the brand of mind but I think it could be Maybelline.

Stay with the well known brands. Cheap make up sucks

Like a makeup i can find at walgreens or walmart and it has a green primer or green concealer or a tint of green in it so wen i blush its notas notcibleWhats a makeup with a green tint or a green concealer?
look at physician's formula powder instead! as you can see in my latest question i'm not sure which of the two to buy, but a powder would be way better for you in the case of lightly calming the blushing down. a stick will be waaayyyy too heavy for you can won't do what you want it too. it also won't blend like you think. i'd really suggest the either green multi powder or the natural multi powder.Whats a makeup with a green tint or a green concealer?
    Hm,

Maybelline has a green color correcting stick.

Just dab it over the red areas and blend then you can aply your foundation over it.
i reccomend sephora: Make up forever primer. they have it in green as well to hide rosacea
i have a physician's formula concealer palette that I bought from CVS for like $7 or $8. It has green and skin color.. I think it's OK.
the green tint is a concealer, it neutralizes whatever redness there is on your face
you cant get rid of blushing anyways

What kind of foundation/concealer/face makeup can/should i wear for really dry skin!?

does anyone know? What kind of foundation/concealer/face makeup can/should i wear for really dry skin!?
well my skin gets really dry in the winter, and what i do is use moisturizer, along with my normal foundation.

what i do is i apply the face moisturizer all over my face. while the moisturizer on my skin is still kind of moist, i apply the foundation. not your does it make your skin smoother, it also blends the foundation really good.

if you think it'll make your face breakout, than use a skin clearing moisturizer, or an oil free moisturizer. What kind of foundation/concealer/face makeup can/should i wear for really dry skin!?
avoid anything that has a matte finish! they tend to dry skin out. depending on the coverage you're looking for, it's good to find a nice tinted moisturizer. personally, i use MAC's Select Tint, but you should probably test a few to find something that works for you. like the other girl said, you should always moisturize then prime because you put on any makeup (:
Look for a foundation that is labeled for drier skin. Look for anything that says hydrating on it. Also, try mixing your foundation with your moisturizer. Avoid powdery foundations.
get a good mousturizer for dry skin %26amp; pick a creamy foundation.

that is best for dry skin. powder is best for oily.
I get really dry in the winter (and like to mix my own shade) so I mix my foundations with a little moisturizer.

Makeup concealer before or after foundation?

before. (AS above.) But if you are trying to conceal blemishes, try a primer first. They help to keep pores unclogged and so maybe in the long run you won't have any problems! Laura Mercier makes a great primer for those of us who love to wear makeup, but have skin issues.Makeup concealer before or after foundation?
before!!!Makeup concealer before or after foundation?
All the experts, after. I am no expret. However, I agree.
    depends....

    liquid foundation, conceal after

    powder foundation, conceal before.
before- u put concealer on dark spots or pimples, this covers the darkness. then put concelear on to smooth out. afterwards apply bronzer and blush to even out your skin tone.
    Before
Before and maybe a little after. I use powder instead of foundation and concealer to help with dark circles. so I cover with concealer first, dab with powder then touch up with concealer.
Definitely before, but I also suggest that you get the right concealer because majority of these cake up under foundations. I use the Yellow pencil from NYC. It is dirt cheap and it does wonders in covering everything on my skin. It looks great under my eyes and the rest of my face. You can buy this brand from CVS or other major drugstores.
Put foundation on first, then concealer. The foundation blends the skin tone evenly, and the concealer helps it stay in place through out the day.
Before. The concealer may be a different shade of colour and putting it on afterwards will differ in colour.
ALWAYS do concealer before and then if it didnt cover up as much as you wanted to you can always touch up

I've had my make-up done by professional make-up artists several times, and they always apply foundation first, and concealer second. I trust them.
its before the foundation but if u arent satisfied with what u got after u applied the make up just add more concealer after u r done but be cautious not to add too much because at the end it turns to be grey and really bad..and also avoid trying darker or lighters colors of concealer the darker will show that u have more and more black spots under ur eye or where ever and the light one will never make u satisfied with the color and it will end up with having toooooo much concealer with no result except being fake..

remember: when ever u add too much concealer it turns into a grey color which will be really bad..

i use MAC Studio finish and it works REALLY good for me. MAC also sells this eye primer/lotion thing that you put on before the concealer, and i suggest you put that on before. it costs about the same but it lasts a LONG time. also, make sure you put it on with the right brush, probably an eye contour brush or something you can find at Target. the only problem i find with it is that i have to put on foundation on top or it looks weird, but that's probably only because i put on a think layer of concealer since i have a bad case of dark circles.

I just bought this concealer and its great for covering dark circles and pimples. But if you have redness, I'm not sure how it would work. it would conceal minor redness but if you have lots you should try to get concealers designed to conceal redness. I dont know what they would have at drugstores, but Sephora would be a great place to look!

When putting on makeup, what comes first? Concealer or Foundation?

i put concealer on first because my concealer isnt the same color as my skin. its a little off. my foundations the same so it like blends but im afraid im wiping the concealer off.

whats supposed to come first/what do u put on first? When putting on makeup, what comes first? Concealer or Foundation?
concealer. that is how i've always done itWhen putting on makeup, what comes first? Concealer or Foundation?
Either way works. As a make-up artist, I usually apply foundation and then see what still needs to be concealed. For me. this works best because you tend to use less of the concealer.

As long as it blends well, it doesn't matter. Try to get a concealer that is more your skin colour and it will work better. Lighter colours on your face highlight and draw attention so be careful that you are not accentuating the flaws you are trying to conceal.
Perhaps you could try using ';liquid to powder'; foundation from Max Factor or Cover Girl. It's a little more expensive, but it looks more natural because it rubs on like a cream but turns to powder on your skin so it doesn't look uneven or choppy. You may not even need concealor.
You can put the concealer on first. I use the sheere cover mineral makeup and it works great It is worth every penny and I only purchase it about 2x year. The cleanser is really great too. It gets all my makeup off even the liner and mascara. You should try it. You can go to this site on the womens page to find it.

    http://mysite.verizon.net/vzes2hf2/trace鈥?/a>
Concealer goes on first, and it's fine if it's a little off color, concealer is supposed to be on the lighter side.
concealer, foundation, powder, blush. at least, that's what i do. :]
Most people will almost always say concealer goes first but I try that and after I put on my foundation it kind of does defeat the purpose so I put it on over my foundation, I get better results that way.
CONCEALER. deff. Foundation makes your skin look picture perfect after applying the concealer. =]
Foundtion is ALWAYS first, concealer is then used to cover up whatever is still visible through foundation, then powder to set. then blush... :)

the best concealer for your eyes would be Laura Mercier's Secret Brightening Powder. It's a pure white powder(very very fine, won't settle into lines), and you only need a tiny tiny dab to make your eyes pop.
The best way is to look up or close your eyes and with a sponge swipe creme concealer under. Then cover with mineral powder or a baby powder.

Makeup experts, I'm an NC35 in MAC MSF what would i be in concealer?

My local makeup artist gave me a NW35 concealer but it is much to dark for me.

My foundation is mineralise satinfinish in nc35.

What shade should my concealer be?Makeup experts, I'm an NC35 in MAC MSF what would i be in concealer?
I'm an NC15 in both foundation and concealer, but normally your concealer should be 1 to 2 shades lighter than your foundation.

I'm not sure why the MAC rep would give you a NW35 when you're a NC35 ?! First of all, stick with NC. Try an NC30, if that's still too dark, get an NC25, and so forth. If the NC25 is too light but the NC30 is too dark, try to mix em together! (:

Hope I helped!Makeup experts, I'm an NC35 in MAC MSF what would i be in concealer?
too dark then go 2 shades lighter. remebr that concealer is lighter then foundation cause you wanna brighten your eye. Try NW 20 or 25. Try it out at the store.
You should get nw25 or nc25. depending on the undertones in your skin.
    NW/NC 20 or 25

  • Mac Concealer Makeup Question?

I don't have puffy undereye-lids, but slightly dark ones that I strongly dislike. I bought the Maybelline Cover Stick in yellow, but it just turns my undereye-lids a yellowish color and makes them more noticeable. I've heard Mac concealers are good, please suggest Mac or any other concealers that I would find useful. Thank you VERY much!!Mac Concealer Makeup Question?
I personally use the MAC Select Moisture Cover.

The lady at the MAC counter suggested the fairest shade for me, although it is quite a few shades lighter than my skin tone. I don't really have undereye circles so a light concealer works well to brighten up my undereye area. However, if you have dark undereye circles then this can actually accentuate them rather than conceal them.

For undereye circles and even blemishes, it's more about neutralizing the color than covering it.

For circles with blueish tones, you should use salmon colored concealer.

For MAC, the NW shades tend to be a little warmer.

For circles with purpleish tones, you should use a yellow-orange color.

i would recommend the select moisture cover (the liquid one with the doe foot applicator.) i have tried the studio finish concealer under my eyes but it became too cakey and the sale assistant told me it was because that concealer was meant for pimples.
Mac Studio Finish Concealer is great stuff.

Okay, I luv to put on makeup. What goes on first concealer or liquid foundation? Help?

I know how to put makeup on myself. The only thing I would like to know what goes on first concealer or liquid foundation? I know the pressed powder comes in last. Please help?Okay, I luv to put on makeup. What goes on first concealer or liquid foundation? Help?
    liquid foundation first.

no point concealing all the spots and then applying liquid foundation to ruin the well-blended areas.

then apply pressed powder, or brush on loose powder in a downwards motion to set the foundation.Okay, I luv to put on makeup. What goes on first concealer or liquid foundation? Help?
Concealer on problem areas.... then foundation to give it the smooth look... before even concealer...u should always put some moisturizer...and even better would be a moisturizer that has a little bit of SPF to protect ur skin! The more you protect ur skin, the less concealer and/or foundation you will need!
Definately the liquid foundation. All around.
put on the conceler first what the conceler dose is cover up any blemishes or zits u have and then the liquid stuff seals it. and plus if you put the powered conceler on last it would make the foundation powery and it wouldnt look right. u have to look good for the guys!
definately concealor first on things like pimples, and underneath your eyes, then you apply foundation all over your face, then eyes, then lips
    Well, I've read different answers.

I can just give you my view of this.

First put on the concealer, you use this to hide or conceal tough spots on your face, like; redness, dark circles beneath your eyes, ... . It doesn't go on your entire face. Just those areas that you need it in.

Then apply the foundation. Either liquid or pressed powder. Don't use both, as they do the same thing, give you an overal colour and finish. Use what you feel comfortable with.

After that, put on the rest of the make up, eyes, blush, lips and loose powder to finish off your make up. And the very last thing you do, is put on your mascara.

Have a play around, never get your make up right on one try, and dispite what people say, we do practise putting on make up. Practise makes perfect.

    Good luck.
if you are trying to cover imperfections, do concealer first. if you are hiding redness, do foundation first and then if it isnt blending together, add some lotion on top. be sure you let the liquids dry first befroe the powder!
Concealer goes on before the foundation. And eye make-up always comes last.
i went to professional makeup training, and it's conclealer first.
    concealer goes first
    def concealer first
Ummmm ... duhhhh lets think ..................

    liquid foundation !!

... whats the point of point of concealer if you are going over it ?
I use concealer first then my foundation!
You should use concealer first to cover any redness or uneven skin tone (like undereyes). Then put liquid foundation. After foundation, apply spot concealer to any blemishes etc to cover up spots. The reason you put this on after, is because applying the foundation can remove the concealer. Putting it on spots after foundation provides better coverage.
Foundation should go on first, new development in makeup artistry. When concealer goes on first it's often rubbed off or looks cakey.
I always use the concealer first! it makes your face look more smooth
Do you really need concealer AND foundation?

Usually a little dab of concealer if you have any dark spots and go very light on the foundation will do the trick.

If you have nice skin, which I assume that you do, you probably do not need all that makeup.
the liquid foundation always goes on before the concealer, especially if you're using a liquid foundation, it definitely goes on smoother and your skin appears clearer
Concealer first, then foundation. Otherwise, you end up with an uneven tone.
i think liquid foundation comes first
